    question about vitamins

I've noticed that different vitamins give different ingestion instructions. Some say to take with a meal, some before a meal, some after, and some it just doesn't matter. So, out of curiousity, I was wondering if anyone knows WHY different vitamins have different directions. Why, for example...

    Reasons to drink green tea.

I've heard some people suggest that green tea "might" work better for hair loss if it's applied topically. So my question (mainly out of curiosity) is: how would you apply it topically? Do people actually just dump warm tea on their head and let it sit for awhile?

Revita - Scared but holding on

Rambo: Yeah, there is supposed to be a shed, but it's only supposed to last for the first two weeks. I was on week 6 and still shedding -- and I'm not talking a little bit of shedding, but A LOT. I dunno. I guess that could mean it's "working", but I wasn't expecting that from a shampoo.

Revita - Scared but holding on

For about a month and a half I was only using Revita and spironolactone and I was shedding like crazy. I'd never seen so many hairs on my pillow, so I stopped using Revita and the shedding dropped to a more reasonable level. Having read some of the comments posted here, though, I'm starting to wonder...

    Minoxidil Side Effects

mikemass, That sucks you're getting side effects, too. If you haven't stopped already, I suggest that you do. Hair's important, but not if it's going to jeopardize your overall health. With that said, you could also try stopping for a month or so and then slowly try to get back on it. Also...

    spironolactone and body hair?

Has anybody ever tried this thing: http://www.mangroomer.com ? I think the name itself is pretty awesome....

    spironolactone and body hair?

Although I'm no scientist or doctor, I think you'd REALLY have to be dousing yourself in Minoxidil for it to be significantly causing an increase in body hair. I'd say it's much more likely it would cause bushier eyebrows or new hair high up on the cheekbones, because of dripping down and the...

    Minoxidil Side Effects

I was using Dr. Lee's 5% minoxidil for three months when I started developing chest pains and a rapid heart beat. I tried reducing the dosage and trying different brands of minoxidil, but it didn't help. So I stopped using minoxidil entirely and the side effects went away. Too bad, too, because the stuff...

    spironolactone and body hair?

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply. As far as Veet goes, I actually tried the stuff and it really irritated my skin, so that's off the list. I'm not using minoxidil anymore either, so it looks like I'm naturally a hairy beast! Man, there's nothing like seeing a forest of shoulder hair...

Is There A Doctor On The Boards? Feeling Very Ill!

No offense, but this is ridiculous. The internet is a great research tool, but DO NOT turn to the internet for serious medical advice. See a doctor ASAP.

    spironolactone and body hair?

So I'm sprouting hairs on my shoulders and back these days. To say the least, I'm unimpressed that I'm getting hair growth everywhere except my scalp. But I guess that's life, right? Anywho, is there any chance that if I applied spironolactone on my shoulders it would prevent the hair from growing...

    Why the fear of buzzing/shaving?

I buzzed my head last weekend and I feel ten times better. It's definitely not my best look, but it sure beats thinking about how my hair looks all the time. People have been pretty surprised, too, because I always used to have shaggy, semi-long hair. So I encourage everyone to at least try...

How does climate effect hair loss?

In my opinion, with the exception of EXTREME cold or heat, I really don't think weather matters. Don't sweat it! (although i guess humidity can make some people's hair "look" bad)

    question about clippers

Thanks man, for all the pointers. Hopefully I'll get it done on Sunday when I've got some spare time. I'm nervous of what it'll look like, but I've got to at least try it once! Cheers!

    question about clippers

Thanks Jayman -- appreciate the advice. And what do you think is best for a thinning/receding guy, down to 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch? And this might seem really stupid, but I should use scissors first to cut things down before I start buzzing it, right? Man oh man, it's going to be whole new me....
