I think id be more concerned with the thinning all over the top of your head than which Norwood u are. Unless its just the lighting. Anyway id say ure a NW2. Good luck with your treatments.

From what I read, at the 6month period hair might appear its thinnest because finestride takes a while to work (plus that shedding thing). Thus you should stick it out at least 1 year.

I now stopped looking into mirrors as much as possible too. Though when its time to apply the topicals I still need to face the situation. But yah, avoidance imo is the best policy.

I apply it to the temples and hairline and lose around 15-20 hairs from there. They are usualy tiny dark ones.

A good question to ask would be if you are losing more or less than what you are usualy losing.

I just added retin-a to help with the absorption. I did not follow the instructions and for the first 3 or 4 nights I applied it... then my scalp started to burn when I applied the foam. Its back to normal after 4 or so days, so tonight I applied some retin-a again. I guess if it was burning...

I cant tell you from experience, but my opinion is that your theory sounds right.

I find the booklet that comes with it a bit odd. Firstly it says that some people might need at least 4 months to see results... then it goes on to say that if you don't see results in 4 months, quit it.
