Some hairline success with finasteride+nizoral, 18 y/o *pics*

Yes, that's how I remember it. In the beginning I could easily see through my temples a couple of millimeters since the hairs there were so fine but when I look now the hairs are a lot darker and thicker.

Thank you :) Yes I do, most of the time the pieces are not even at all but I guess that doesn't matter that much.

Thanks, I met a really nice doctor who prescribed proscar instead of propecia immediately :)

It's called Betnovate and the active ingredient is Betamethasone, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betamethasone

Thank you! Yes I did notice a lot of smaller hairs falling out, my hair is kinda long, maybe 10 inches, and those hairs that fell were maybe just an inch long and very thin.

The only thing that helps when my seb derm flares up is a topical corticosteroid, talk to your derm and you should be able to get a prescription. I have experimented with many natural approaches but when it really flares up, the steroids are the only thing that helps me.

Thanks guys! Yes I use proscar along with 2% nizoral which has also helped a lot with my seborrheic dermatitis. I think after about 4 months I noticed a big decrease in shedding, prior to that I'd always find very small and thin hairs on my shoulders, maybe just an inch long.

Hey guys, thought I'd drop in and show you my progress so far. My hairline started to recede very fast when I was about 16, about a year later I jumped on finasteride and I've been using it for about 10 months now along with nizoral 2-3 times a week. My hairline has definitely improved quite a bit and my...

You DO NOT have Androgenic Alopecia

Thank you for your feedback, that does seem like a much better idea, I guess I got a bit too enthusiastic about it yesterday lol! I'll start by introducing dairy for a week or so and keep going from there until I can rule out what foods are giving me issues. Oh and also, it's actually not my...

you judge: is my crown going? help! w/ PICS!

I'd say no, just looks like a hair whorl to me, but keep an eye on it in case.

You DO NOT have Androgenic Alopecia

This sure is a very interesting topic! About a year ago I decided to cut out all the wheat, dairy, red meat, sugar and basically all processed foods from my diet, in order to help battling my receding hairline and also my seborrheic dermatitis. I've had a few ups and downs with my seborrheic...

felt great today in a long time

You could try to part your hair with a comb and then apply it dirrectly to the scalp, also try to massage it in from underneath your hair if you don't do that already.

    Nellie's Story

Re: New member Introduction I'm really sorry to hear about your daughters hair and I know how frustrating it must be not being able to diagnose the problem. I've done some research and it sounds like it could be loose anagen syndrome, I don't have any experience of this condition myself but you...
