nizoral and minoxidil will not stop your hairloss if that is what is happening, only finasteride will keep it at bay.

Yes, your crown is definitely starting to thin. But it will be unnoticeable to most people. The easiest way to tell is by looking at the quality of the hair. Your crown hair is getting lighter and looking more brittle than the rest of your head.

If your having problems with your hairline and your crown, it is probably a warning sign of aggressive male pattern baldness in the future. I am also getting the impression that you are young. You may want to consider starting Propecia. The sooner the better.

If you think it is male pattern baldness then get on Propecia. Using minoxidil and nizoral will not deal with the underlaying problem. Use minoxidil and nizoral if you want to regrow.

Do you have a family history of male pattern baldness? you should check with your dermatologist first before you start anything. If you do start, its a commitment. To me it looks good, keep an eye at it, but in those pictures I don't see anything to worry about yet.

It's obvious that you have a receding hairline just by looking at the top of your head.

Of course it isn't. Don't go on any meds yet.

:thumbdown2: To all the people who said it is thinning.

Ok, it's not obvious to most people. But it's pretty easy for me to tell. The bangs don't cover the left temple like they do in the center. Plus he already mentioned that his hairline is starting to go.

I feel like I'm on a totally different level when it comes to spotting hair-loss. How is everyone else not seeing this? The hair in the crown area is a different texture and color than the rest of his head. There is still good coverage, but texture and lighter hair color are telltale signs of early male pattern baldness.

my hairline has actually been very similar to that for a long time as i had a big widows peak even in elementary school and it hasnt moved in over a year and ive only been in nizoral for 2 months so it obv hasnt moved in the past year.
as for my crown it only looks THAT bad under the light in my bathroom, i looked in another room it didnt look nearly as bad. and i looked at someone with a NW1 today and his "whorl" was a white spot the size or a quarter where his was so idk

It's impossible to make a claim like that just from looking top down on this case especially no matter how much of a hair loss clairvoyant you think you may be, your just spotting what you want to see.

Just because his bangs don't cover his left temple doesn't mean he's receding, people can have a natural hair line that's like that as for the crown having a different texture then the rest of the head that's because of how its directly under light, grab a guy with no male pattern baldness and do it and the same thing will happen.

@cruisincali - What age did your father go bald?

not EXACTLY sure but i saw pictures of him at around 26 and he just had some hairline and a little thinning on top. around that time he joined the military and they just cut it all off
idk if it matters but my hair is alot like my moms. very very thick where my dad always had thin hair
