    BarcaFan's Story - (18yrs old - already a Norwood 2.5 Pix)

Your head shape suits it buzzed so don't worry, it looks cool. You've only receded a bit that doesn't mean you'll lose it. My pal Neil receded when he was early 20s but he's still got all his hair and he's late 40s now.... but if you start to thinning on top then yeah do something about...

    question about buzzing hair

When I first did mine I was shocked that I could then see how large an area had thinned... I did it to a grade 2.... so then I thought bugger it and did it to a 0... no guard, lowest setting, it's just like sandpaper rather than hair and it looks really cool, no-one can tell.... people...

Diffuse thinning VS male pattern baldness

I'm the wrong person to give that advice because I didn't spot mine for ages. Captain Obvious's advice is quite right I'd think. One thing though, my dad still has the thickest hair in the world! So you can't always get an early warning sign there.

Diffuse thinning VS male pattern baldness

The overall thinning sneaks up on you though, that's what happened with me, hair falling out everytime I showered etc but didn't get a bald spot so didn't realise... ..... then noticed it had thinned all over the top, so cutting it shorter and having it in a kind of messy spikey style looked...

And.... some girls actually like buzzed/shaved heads... there's a girl where I work who's 17 and she's always asking if she can touch my head.... We were talking and I said how it can make you feel ugly hving no hair... she said being bald does not make someone ugly

    Hair loss and Women

Fair point... I always thought my head felt really bumpy so I was worried what it would look like, but it looks OK. I still think all off looks better than bald spots or really bad thinning. And it really stops all the worry... seriously, I worried myself stupid about it and once I buzzed it...

    Hair loss and Women

Yep! When I realised I was losing my hair I thought my life was over and when I got to the point where I shaved it off it was relief, a new start..... the world didn't stop spinning. If you're 20 and lose your hair yeah it's sh*t, but buzz it or shave and you're still 20 with a cool...

    Hair loss and Women

I know I was lucky to not start losing until then. Ironically she says she likes my head shaved better than all the hairstyles I've had. There's a difference between bald and shaved/buzzed hair.... girls don't like bad haircuts! e.g. bald spots or bits combed to disguise thin bits etc...

    Hair loss and Women

When I met my girlfriend I was dirt poor and she didn't care.... mind you, I did have thick hair down to my waist :D ..... but she stuck with me through losing my hair Point I was originally making is everyone has different priorities... if you're just looking for sex from a woman then yeah...

At what age did you start going bald?

About 31/32 I noticed lots of hair coming out everytime I washed it.... but I had waist length hair and loads of it so I wasn't worried Over the next year or two I realised I was losing more until I was about 35 when I cut it shorter to make it look thicker... it worked but over the next...
