    hairline on finasteride

You will loose hair quickly on minoxidil before it recovers and hopefully come back stronger.. finasteride or dutasteride never worked for me on hairline either and in fact now much thinner all over but I think dutasteride did that do now back on finasteride and hope it will get better over coming months even if hairline...

    Back on finasteride

its rocketing off my head still...Jesus why doesn't something stop it. Maybe it would have been better to stop all treatments

    propecia work were avodart failed

I have gone back to finasteride after 8 months on dutasteride. Neither worked but I believe finasteride to be safer. finasteride has less negative reports long term and maybe at 1 -2 yrs + on finasteride things could still turnaround....better than taking nothing.

On finasteride for 2 weeks, thinking about quitting

Your body has to adjust to the drug and sides tend to fade after a few weeks and semen and erection get back to normal. If sides continue for more than a few weeks then consider lowering dose. I experience libido up and down and semen issue etc but stabilised after a few weeks. I only got a...

    Dutasteride and "telogen effluvium"...

Hairloss was more aggressive on dutasteride. Gave it 7-8 months and no sign it was just a shed or any recovery so back on finasteride now even tho I still lost on that but less so..lets see what happens.... I think in the end I will have to buzz because I can no longer style what is left.

250 ratings from Propecia patients - what to make of it?

I am one of the few I think with a massively increased libido on dutasteride and was very high on finasteride. Libido and semen changes only last for 2-3 months and then stabilise to how you are then going to be long term..in my case high libido. I was able to control and stay hard for a couple of hours...my...

    Back on finasteride

So 6/7 months on finasteride and I was still losing hair and I had increased libido and very tired so after 3 months cut down to 0.5mg then 0.25mg in the end as tiredness was too much. Then I moved to dutasteride..Full dose 0.5Mg for 3 months no sides but hair was like straw and very dry scalp so reduced to...

    Dutasteride and "telogen effluvium"...

Timi, where do these testosterone % numbers you have come from... What is being said is that dutasteride raises testosterone 100% compared to 25% for finasteride on the std 0.5mg, 1mg respective doses if i'm reading it right Certainly my libido is off the scale with dutasteride and hairloss is very fast..sure it was...

is dutasteride guranteed to work better than finasteride?

If finasteride works at all for you stay on it...getting greedy can be a mistake. I had accelerated loss on dutasteride then finasteride but neither appear to work for me. Stay on the finasteride

    7 months latest on dutasteride

Well lets see...2 wks on finasteride, I have stopped dutasteride. Taking 0.5 or 1mg per day. Tired but this is the last shot..... There are so many more dutasteride failure stories than finasteride that's why i'm back on it..I gave dutasteride enough time to work and it didn't for me, finasteride is the safer tested one too. If dutasteride had...

    7 months latest on dutasteride

I keep thinking surely either finasteride or dutasteride has got to work, can't both not work. I have given dutasteride about 8 months and all down hill...when on finasteride I went downhill slower although still down hill. I'm really not keen on the topicals. I'm tempted to give up altogether now and hope that maybe finasteride and...

    hair line still receding

7 months on Propecia/finasteride and now 8 months on dutasteride and lots of aggressive loss at hirline and temples..nothings worked. My crown was solid and remains so..hope that its going to hold that!

    7 months latest on dutasteride

if I remember rightly I didn't suffer the tiredness side so much on genuine Propecia so maybe I will try that. I tried finasteride again recently and was very tired even on 0.25mg. I have got to keep trying, something must work, dutasteride has definitely accelerated loss and even though I lost on finasteride/propecia...

    7 months latest on dutasteride

Well still going down hill..I tried phasing in some finasteride on my off days from dutasteride as i'm on dutasteride twice a week but as soon as I did the massive tiredness problem I get from taking finasteride came back almost immediately so I stopped. When I tried minoxidil again I lost loads too so gave that up. So that's it...

Saw palmetto vs Finasteride vs Dutasteride?

After trying all 3 none of them appear to work for me. Saw Palmetto is very weak DHT blocker, finasteride is 100 times stronger and dutasteride is 10 time stronger than finasteride. But patently blocking DHT is not the only thing that causes hairloss otherwise something would have worked for me. Saw Palmetto is not...
