I am asking this question to help others like me who have been searching for the right surgeon amongst the laundry list of candidates out there in Australia alone. I want to know what really are the formal standards I should be looking for, and what other matters should be taken into top...
I agree. When you are looking for a solution, take it one at a time. In that way, you can learn what works. Topical treatments need several months to take effect. So, yes 6 months would be a good amount of time. A little bit of patience can go a long way.
I tried using that before, but it took me ages before a hint of improvement was seen. After 6 months of laser comb and finasteride on the side (2 years), I decided to just go ahead with a hair transplant.
I agree on the points you raised. Our body may react differently to medications, so what may work in one person may create the same effects on the other. This is why I would always advise people struggling to get advised so that you will be given a treatment that would suit you best.
I advise that you get advised by a professional. For me, I can say that i dilly dallied at first. In hindsight I should have gotten help right away, then I would have saved more when I finally opted for hair transplant. My hair loss would not have progressed that much if I made a move right away.
Same prob here!
My family is just wired to lose their hair once the men hit our mid twenties. I tried finasteride for 2 years, but I was still bothered with the thinning on my hairline, so I went on to get surgical treatment. It was the best decision for me. Hope it goes well for you too. Where do you...
In my case Finasteride took around a year and a half before I saw some effect. This solution can really test the most patient and desperate hair loss sufferer. This is also the reason why I eventually resorted to hair transplant. It was not an easy decision either, but it was something that I...
I've been using kirkland minoxiddil foam as well, but it doesn't seem to give me the result I want even after 7 months of use. If anything there is around 5% of improvement in that span of time. I don't know if it is just me or what. But anyway, I think it is time to look into other options -...
I haven't gotten a hair transplant yet, but I learned from my first consultation that you do need to continue using your hair loss medications to maintain the results. It prevents the other hairs from progressing further.
Try Dr. Andrew Kim of AIHR. Just had a good talk with him a few weeks back. You might want to add him to your list as he gives a comprehensive explanation on how you can manage your hair loss. He is also an experienced hair surgeon. aihr.com.au this is where I found and read more about him.

I haven't really travelled outside of the country for my hair transplant as I had mine done locally here in Sydney. I am satisfied with my results, and by far it was the best decision I made especially with this exasperating condition. I commend you for really ensuring that you want the best and...
It took me several months to find the surgeon I am comfortable with. It would take time researching, but it will be well worth it, when you finally find one who could plan out a treatment that you'd be compatible with. Don't rush into it, look around, and avail of free consultations. Hope this...
had my consult done with doctor andrew kim. I find him to give good advise and his approach suitable for the goal i wish to achieve. I think it his honesty is what I attracts me with the treatment style and plan he wants to have for me. Although I am open to advise if you think there are other...
I advise that you to Doctor kim of aihr and schedule a consultation. Try to see what the possible options are for you? Just like you, I am also looking for an honest opinion which is what I got. His consults are actually free so why don't you try and check if you approve of his treatment options.
