It does if you experience sides to 1 mg and not <.50 mg. Anybody else? Is there a better way to achieve this other than with alcohol?

It is difficult to cut a Proscar pill into 10 pieces. I just got a new bottle and I want to decrease my dosage to .5 mg/day.

This is what I was thinking . . . Coupled with the fact that the drug remains in your body for several days, therefore a 1.2 dosage one day one and a .8 dosage on day two will likely have a negligible difference on the effect of the drug.

Does anybody else have an opinion on cutting Proscar into 1/5ths?
