    White v. Black Bulbs

i believe that there are degrees of telogen effluvium. it's my contention that stress/anxiety can contribute significantly to the rate of progression of male pattern baldness through the induction of a telogen effluvium, be it mild or severe, acute or chronic, depending on the intensity and duration of...

    Tricomin/Revivogen instead of Propecia/minoxidil?

ah, cool. guess we had the same thought running through our minds when we registered ;)

    White v. Black Bulbs

here's something relevant (not my original source): http://www.electrology.com/rmpart3.htm it is not normal to lose anagen hairs, obviously, but one can suffer from anagen effluvium or loose anagen syndrome. you stated, authoritatively, in another thread that increased insulin...

    Tricomin/Revivogen instead of Propecia/minoxidil?

been meaning to ask: why, of all names, did you pick that one, original poster?

    White v. Black Bulbs

shedding hairs with white bulbs is normal. shedding hairs with black bulbs is not. a hair with a short sheathed region and a black bulb is in the anagen stage--you should not be shedding these hairs.

Not having a great day here

and i'm just the providing the counter argument, being one of those people who has addressed predominantly *stress-induced thinning* w/o minoxidil. if he is able to overcome his psychological problems without a growth stimulant, more power to him, but i'm sure as sh*t having a hard time doing...

Not having a great day here

the point is, if he were to quit now, after 7 months of use, he would likely shed again. for a person with an obsessive personality like him (and me), that would be a VERY hard thing to go through. keep in mind, also, that those pics he posted are after treatment.

Not having a great day here

so, WHY are you guys telling him to stop the minoxidil? finasteride will not help with stress-induced loss--i know from experience: after 1.5-2 years of extreme stress/anxiety and 1+ years on finasteride. the growth the minoxidil induced allowed him that psychological respite. minoxidil has been shown to offset the...

    painful scalp?

look up information on "trichodynia" or "burning scalp syndrome". the bottom line is extreme stress/anxiety/obsession with your hair has led to psychogenic scalp pain due to excess substance p release. substance p release and subsequent mast cell degranulation has been experimentally linked...

    PROMISING NEW DRUG

this ASCJ-9 could potentially be more effective than RU, spironolactone, etc., for those of you already writing it off. i hope this company actually gets the chance to conduct fda trials.

    whatever happend to this drug?

you don't think that the fact that it grew thick hair so much faster than vehicle and rogaine treatment is an important factor? that seems to me to be a pretty pertinent indication of its potency. i'd love to grow thick/healthy hair in 3 weeks. but, yea, long term studies are what we are...

    cream steroids and hairloss?

actionpack is confusing anabolic steroids with anti-inflammatory steroids. i VERY HIGHLY doubt that you are losing hair due to the use of a topical anti-inflammatory steroid. if you are using it on your scalp, however, who knows?
