Anybody out there ever gone (or know somebody on the internet who has gone) from NW2 or above back down to NW1 with meds/treatment (no transplant)?
Curious if it's possible
Yo man, I looked at the pics from this post and the pics from your first post, and I've got to let you know that you can see definite improvement on your crown. Hands down. Your 'bald' spot has definitely shrunk. I think taking pictures of one's hair every day or every couple of days really...
OP, you got this. I would stay on finasteride and reassess after you've been on the drug a few more months. From the pictures you've posted it looks like your hair hasn't changed that much in the 10 months you've been taking photos of your hair. At the very least it hasn't gotten worse, which is really...
I just took my 30th Dutasteride pill. As promised, 1 month update:
Dutasteride: 1 month
Minoxidil 5%: 7 weeks
SIDES: None. When I started finasteride (just a couple weeks before I ended up switching to Duta) I noticed two instances of watery semen and weaker erection in the first two days...
If you're going to do steroids I believe (I'm no expert) that hair loss is just part of the cost of doing business. I think there are plenty of people on steroids that choose to go on finasteride and dutasteride to combat the hair loss and see no real side effects. From the little that I've read...
I'll attach a photo excerpt from the book "Androgens and Androgen Receptors: Mechanisms, Functions and Clinical Applications" that outlines the known functions of T and DHT as androgens in the male body. Apart from development and the formation of the testes, and the subsequent activation of...
Bottom line, Stick, is that we don't know. DHT's role in sexual function in the male body has been really poorly established. All modern medicine's research has pointed to DHT's position as a 'garbage' hormone in the male body after it has served its role in fetal development and it's much more...
It seems odd that after years of taking propecia, side effects would choose to show themselves now. As I'm sure you know, propecia side effects have been shown to decrease with time in clinical trials, not the other way around. Now, I'm not a doctor or a medical specialist, so who knows what...
I don't know man, I just looked again I haven't found any evidence that minoxidil blocks any DHT. If you can find some source that says minoxidil blocks DHT I will reconsider.
Keep it up! Side effects were shown to go away with continued treatment in clinical trials. Maybe slow down a little on sex/masturbation for a week and then try again and see what happens with your big O.
Not to doubt your experience, but could it have been because of other factors? Minoxidil...
In the 80s we got Rogaine, which is clinically proven to slow, stop, or reverse male pattern baldness. In the 90s we got finasteride, which is clinically proven to slow, stop, or reverse male pattern baldness. In the 2000s we got dutasteride, which is clinically proven to slow, stop, or reverse male pattern baldness. Modern medicine is hard at work...
