A new Japanese hair growth stimulant in the works

This is a really interesting development. It seems to be a random discovery on the part of this Dr. Ito using this amino acid produced by Cosmo Oil. It just really seems to be the off-chance discovery of a beneficial side-effect of one their petrochemicals. This Cosmo Oil group has over...

Japanese company develops innovative retardant for hair loss

Not particularly impressed here with any of the products that have come out of Japan to date. I'd just taken a look at the Adenogen site. Pathetic. It's a flash site that starts up with a zoom-in of that shiny Adenogen bottle. That's as much substance as you get. Look around site, and you'll...

    Adenosine study

I agree with you, Viperfish. Shiseido's adenogen is a complete rip-off for such modest results. Marginal as the results appear, though, the study does provide a bit of science to support the argument for using adenosine in homebrew solutions. I'm sure a comparable solution could be made with a...

    Adenosine study

Here's the link to the official presentation from Dr. Masahiro Tajima from Shiseido on the efficacy of adenosine: http://media.thecosmeticsite.com/docume ... Tajima.pdf This is in no way a cure, but looks like a legit treatment to add to the list. Curious as to whether the use with...

    Adenogen six month monitor

Okay, so Shiseido updated their site last week. They added a bunch reports that provide various statistics on balding, but none, as far as I can tell, that attest to the efficacy of Adenogen. They also added a FAQ section on its application. Still no photos provided to support the claims that...

    Adenogen six month monitor

From the poor Babel Fish translation of a window from the official Japanese Adenogen mini-site at http://www.shiseido.com/adeno, I got the following: "New arrival information March 18th: Monitor collection! ! The April 21st start medicinal アデノゲン 6 month continuation monitor is collected...

    so... Adenogen?

This stuff is definitely no cure. The one photo I've seen (posted in an earlier thread) really isn't a mind-boggler. If this stuff is effective, we'll hear more about it in the next few months. I was disappointed that nothing substantive was released with its recent launch. I'm interested how...

    Adenogen - General Info

Good stuff, Becks! Let us know how it goes during the next few months. I've been tempted myself to use this on my hairline. Did the package with anything of interest?

    Adenogen - General Info

I found this image on a site hawking Adenogen. Anyone able to translate?

    Adenogen - General Info

Okay, now I'd be really interested in seeing this guy's photo in six months.

    Adenogen - General Info

Had a look around the Shiseido mini-site for adenogen, and it didn't really look to contain anything substantive. Hell, if this stuff worked, you'd think they use photos instead of a slick Flash presentation. Granted, I can't read Japanese, but it appears to me like an inefficacious product...

    Adenogen - General Info

That Kurogrow site has listed that the 150 ml bottle of Adenogen should last two to two-and-a-half months. Still expensive, unless one uses it in limited areas. I'd urge anyone who is adding this product that they take some photos. Personally, I'm going to hold off until I see some more...

    ADENOGEN

This stuff is going to cost a fortune. I imagine around $80 a bottle when you factor in the international shipping (I had read a report quoting $60-$70 as the price tag). While the abstract of the study using adenosine looks interesting, I don't really have too much faith in something released...

Does English water DESTROY our hair? Me thinks so!

With hormones from the birth control pill finding their way into our water supply, I'd think it would actually have an antiandrogenic effect. I'm more worried about it lowering my sperm count than causing any hair loss. Low sperm count is becoming more prevalent in the UK.

    Hedgehog molecule shows promise

This was posted on another forum by a member named Tricia. Hope they don't mind my poaching it. Looks very interesting, though still a long way off. Curis Presents Study Showing Stimulation of Hair Growth by Small Molecule Hedgehog Pathway Agonist Tuesday February 22, 8:31 am ET Report...
