I would suggest trying the finasteride without the rogaine, you never know.. you might get positive results.

I've never used minoxidil, so I can't really comment on that, but from what I hear, you might not see results for 3 months minimum to a max of 1 year. Finasteride could definitely take up to a year to see results, and as little as 3 months.

Like you said, speak to the dermatologist. If it's all over your body, even your eyebrows, it's not male pattern baldness. I'm not saying you don't have male pattern baldness, but if everything is how you describe it, it sounds like it's a more serious issue. Good luck!

Taking the generic 1 mg form of finasteride in Canada is still expensive, about $56/mo. Getting proscar (1.25 mg) is about $40 over 4 months. A hell of a lot cheaper!!

A lot of people never realise this but if by any chance you live close to the Canadian border just jump over and pick it up. Our drug stores here always have a ton in stock it seems. Or if you have a friend in Canada, just ask to send it to you.
