The easy advice is: Why are you on a statin? Probably because your diet is less than ideal. You'd be better off making dietary changes and seeing if things improve.

I am working with someone who has written an Rx for topical finasteride, but they balked when I tried to add things like minoxidil or caffeine. Can someone recommend a doctor in either of these areas that are a bit more lenient when it comes to writing scripts for this stuff?

I would highly doubt this product can do you any harm. I take my own set of supplements that contain *most* of their key ingredients (except saw palmetto, as I would probably just go on finasteride if I wanted to a DHT blocker). I think the actives have the potential to help.
Do you have any other scalp/skin issues? I assume you are referring to Oracea (low-dose doxy)? If so, I am trying it now, but I also have acne and seborrheic dermatitis. I've only been using it a few weeks, but no improvement just yet.
