You should be able to get a year's prescription from your General Physician instead of a hair loss specialist.

I just meant that you won't see extra hair after 2 years, it should still be doing its job by helping to maintain it.

From what I've read the rate of new hair growth tapers off after about 2 years for 2% and 5% Minoxidil. This however doesn't necessary mean your body is developing a resistance to minoxidil, it might simply have fully saturated your scalp or the chemical responsible for hair loss are increasing...

Accepting inevitable hair loss by shaving or doing nothing is fine if you don't have any regret.

I'd recommend sticking with Finasteride and Minoxidil for at least 6 months before having any surgery. I'm sure some would recommend a year. Since you only have a finite number of grafts you can use, you better make sure the doctors are reputable, rather than the cheapest.

How are you going to feel when it's definitely too late and you could have taken it? I'm currently on 1 mg per day and don't notice any side effects.
