I took Proscar from Dr Ashcroft for almost 2 years but recently changed to Fincar from United Pharmacies, I have also noticed no difference.

I finally finished my 18 month supply of Proscar, it actually lasted me closer to 20 as I missed some days and also stretched some of the pills into 6 pieces towards the end. Part of me was tempted to just stop for reasons I've discussed previously but having recently told a good friend of mine...

You can talk it up as much as you like, in reality people will be having a chuckle at your expense, that would defeat the object in my opinion. :)

In reality.. he is probably just hiding out for a while, so that he can return with a story about how amazing life has been, just to prove all of the doubters wrong. ;)

Although I kind of understand what you mean I'm a bit confused.. Surely the pill is exposed whether cut or bitten? I carefully bite 1/5 from the tablet then put it back into its packaging, isn't this exposing it less than pre cutting a pill? Or do you just cut 1/5 off and leave the rest intact...

No sir? I have been doing this succesfully for quite some time now, the method is one of personal choice and this thread is for suggestions, there is no right and wrong and we aren't dealing with an exact science here. However you choose to do it I wish you all the best.

Re: My Story, any advice? The finasteride should slow it down if you respond well but as time goes by you will start to deal with the fact that there is only so much you can do. Try not to waste too much time worrying as you have more hair today than you will will ever have, enjoy it.

Did you miss the bit where I listed the side effects? I understand what you mean though. Hi Roki! Long time no speak! Yea I've been doing ok, life has really changed since we last spoke, I totally understand what you mean about not stopping, I've just cut down a bit really, it needs to be done...

I doubt the 2% thing too, many of us join these boards before we start medication, we ask questions, read about experiences and sides etc, then when we start taking it ourselves a decent amount of us get sides, even though often it can be mild, it's ridiculous to suggest that a the Mercks stats...

Just nibble the 3 corners then bite the last bit in half.
