I'm a healthy weight. I'm on the low side of a healthy BMI (68kg/6ft 2 inches) but I'm pretty healthy.

Good diet. Active lifestyle, I walk 5-7miles a day for work. I have like no body fat on my at all and I'm pretty damn strong. I smoke about 5 a day though but I'm in good shape.

I do wonder if I naturally have high levels of Estrogen though? I don't seem to display high level of Estrogen symptons in men though.

Went up to 0.03mg. Gunna drop back down to 0.015mg and see if side effects subside.

I think I am very very sensitive to this stuff..

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, take comfort in knowing you've tried harder than possibly anybody else in the history of the forum. Microdosing elsewhere means 0.10, 0.15 mg/day.

If you get a blood panel, I recommend including both estrogen and prolactin. I have problems too, and in my recent panel I had high levels of both male and female hormones. I'm not in as good a shape as you are though. I have a lot of body fat which I'm slowly reducing.

You could also experiment with dropping the teaspoon on top of your head.

I don't really get much comfort, it just means I put in more work to fail jist as hard :p

I don't want other people to be put off by this though. This could work for others but not for me.. I'm going to stop taking it again, let my sides disappear and then re-start 0.015mg ED and see if that works. I mean it is a tiny amount of finasteride, even just slowing down my hairloss by 10% would be nice.

If I can somewhat keep a bit of hair until 2020 then I'll have options right?

I mean Replicel, Histogen, Sammud, Setipiprant, Kerastem etc etc what else am I missing? The list is endless, they can't ALL fail.. If not providing I don't end up a Norwood 5+ (which is likely cause I started losing young) I can get a expensive hair transplant. My donar hair at the back is very thick, could make some good coverage if I lay like £15,000 down. Maybe less if I go abroad.

Will enquire getting hormones tested. Will ask for Test, DHT, Estrogen, Prolactin. What else?

How can high Estrogen effect hairloss? I had heard young men who go balding have higher levels of Estrogen.

I'm not a super manly dude, I can be quite effeminate at times but seeing as I don't have body fat, a normally high sex drive and other manly things I almost can't believe I have high Estrogen?

Saying that my hairloss has interestingly coincided with my thyroid levels creeping up slowly. Doesn't take a lot to throw out hormones so who knows? If I fixed that it might stop, slow or reverse?

Wrote an essay reply again, sorry haha.

I think it's important to be able to look back on things and know that you tried.

Might as well do a full hormone panel. Test, DHT, estrogen, prolactin, SHBG, insulin, glucose, CRP (inflammation), and the thyroid hormones, unless it's expensive. Check with other forum posters.

A few people on these forums have had a correlation between thyroid issues and hair loss. I know very little about that.

I don't know if high estrogen affects hair loss, but it's something worth knowing about yourself.

I'm English to the test should be free on our national health care. However because it's free they are a little reluctant to test things that aren't considered "necessary".

Will see if I can blag it. Probably best I wait a couple weeks for the Finasteride to totally out of my system again right? So my hormones go back to what they were pre-finasteride?

Literally zero sexual thoughts today and my penis is kind of shrivelled. Bit gross but I'm not circumcised but my foreskin has just retracted permanently for 2 days so far.

Man I want this sh*t out of my body. I am not a responder at all.

Yes, you should wait 4-6 weeks or so until the finasteride should be gone from the body.

I can't give advice on how to manipulate doctors.

Since I'm straight and Jewish, I don't know anything about foreskins either :p

4-6 weeks?! Holy sh*t, I thought it was more like 2 weeks before 5-AR is replenished. Besides doesn't finasteride only have a half life of 12 hours?

Hahaha, you don't miss yours then but I have grown quite accustomed to mine.

It's officially 2 weeks based on studies.

4-6 weeks is just what I would do myself as I'm OCD.

Sorry to hijack the thread here but are spontaneous errctions something most people get then? Like you can just be sitting about and then get a boner? I cant even remember that..i need to be thinking about sex. But then i did masturbate probably way more than average for years. I feel like my sex drive may have declined a bit with age

Yeah I mean off finasteride I get random boners and morning erections. On finasteride I none of these and I won't even have sexual thoughts on finasteride.

Do you masturbate regularly on top of that? Cant say its something i've really experienced unless i've forgotten. Typically it has to be if i'm thinking particularly sexual thoughts.

Hey norman. I'm doing something similar. Although it isn't precise. Every 3 - 4 days i'll pop in like 0.03 mg - 0.05 mg.

I had sides if I did it every 2 days so I made it to 3 to 4 and the sides went away. Morning wood came back.

I did, now I'm doing LessFap (not NoFap haha). Don't really have any urge to Fap when I have finasteride in my system. Not the most awful thing, I've basically humped my way through the last 5 years of my life haha.

The sides effect o don't like on finasteride is erections that aren't as strong as they could be and that I lose them a lot quicker. I get scared that I may do some permanent damage and they won't return in all their glory..

Interesting, so you dose every 3/4 days. I can't work out if o want to dose 0.015mg every day (no itch for about 20 hours, so nice) or 0.03mg every 3 days.

Maybe I'll try 0.03mg every 3 days again? It's just I was doing ok on 0.015mg and the moment o upped to 0.03mg I got sides again..

Have you guys ever tried to use finasteride at least 8 months? Lots op people report that after a lot of months the body is more balanced = less sides.

No, never because I'm out off by the sides. I'm not sure that I believe in pushing through side effects. Sure it probably works for some people but I also think that's how people experience longer lasting side effects.

I don't even measure mine exactly. And I don't think you should go by scalp itch. I believe it to be a poor indicator of whether or not medication is working.

The only way to see if a treatment is working is unfortunately to wait out the initial shed phase and see if new hairs regrew or your density increased. Sucks because there's no way to really gauge if the treatment is working until like 3-4 months, but that's the nature of this beast called hair loss.

I think you should ride it out for 2 weeks or so. I'm microdosing right now, and started at .025. Had sides the first week and a half but they slowly subsided once my body got used to it. Upped my dosage to .05 with no additional sides; I'm still fine. I did however upped it to .06 as of lately to see what would happen but the sides hit me, I'm going to give it another week to see if they subside.
Remember, your body needs time to adjust to the slight shift in hormones. Just give it some time, I think it'll be in your favor if you wait it out for a little longer.
