1.25 mg of finasteride- every day or every other day?

ive heard that the effects of finasteride last more than a day, so would every other day be just as effective, or is it better to just go for it every day?

ok thats what i figured, but with a 1.25 mg/day dose, is it common for potential sides to be amplified? (compared to 1mg) or is the flat dose thing pretty much true

finasteride has a short half life but DHT has a slow production and turnover.
There is a graph out there from one of the journals a while back showing that a single dose of finasteride kept DHT levels lowered for days.
As far as I know there are no clinical trials comparing finasteride daily to every other day so strictly speaking it's safer to take it daily.

There's no reason why taking finasteride every other day would be ineffective.
Many people who cut up Proscar and want to take a lower dose take a quater tablet every second day.

It takes a week or two for serum levels of DHT to get all the way back to normal after the last dose of finasteride.
