1 month in, no shed, no sides, fake finasteride?

So I just got to the 1 month mark of taking finasteride, the decision to start came after much deliberation and weighing up the pro's and con's. I was very worried about the sides and sheds, but I thought that I would just either bear the less significant sides or stop taking for the more significant sides and would just brave through the sheds knowing it would all be better eventually. Well I'm a month in and no shed or sides, if anything I'm shedding less hair (which is probably just due to the fact I cut my hair much shorter so the shed hair is much less apparent) and my libido is a little higher. Could I just be taking fake finasteride? Here is the link for the pills I have been taking:

Apparently they're from India, I've been cutting the 5 mg into 4 pieces with a pill cutter. I've take much care into cutting them evenly and reducing the amount lost while cutting, I think I could safely say that I'm not losing more than 0.25 mg per piece. I haven't really noticed any change in my hair or anything, although I didn't expect one after only a month. I was always sceptical about the pills I was buying given the price, the lack in change of anything about myself has added to the sceptiscism. I guess I should be happy about no sides and no shed, I would be if I knew it was actually working. Any of you used that provider? Know of a better finasteride provider for a similar price? Think I might be getting fakes? Any and all help will be much appreciated.

Most users should get no sides at all so it really is no indication whether your finasteride is genuine.

I myself also experienced slightly raised libido beginning finasteride, I believe this is fairly common.

I also never shed or had any other side apart from a bit of nut ache in first 2 weeks. The easy way for me to tell it was working is that I had a horrible 'male pattern baldness itch' which went away almost immediately.

It really is sad....sad that the mis-information on the web and forums would lead people to automatically suspect that they might have fake finasteride because they didn't get sides. 90% of people don't get sides.

However, a slightly raised libido in the first few weeks tells me that you have legit finasteride. Many many people report that as an effect of taking finasteride.

Lots of people here buy from that supplier, so I would doubt that they're fake. The profit margin on fake finasteride would be so tiny that it wouldn't even be worth it.

Personally, I get mine from 4rx.com and I've never had a problem.

I get no sides, no shed either. I get my 5mg finasteride from a local pharmacy. It says Dr Reddy's lab on the label of the bottle.

All I have done is maintain after 8 months. Which is better than nothing. But I do read a lot that shedding means new hairs are gonna grow. So you're either in the 42% that will just maintain/have no further loss, or 48% that will see regrowth. I unfortunately have been part of the 42% club. I say unfortunately because I did not get on finasteride to maintain, I got on it to regrow so i'm disappointed but things could have been worse I guess. But I mean I don't know how much worse can it be right now for my young age. I just hope something better than finasteride and minoxidil comes out soon, like something that would grow hair on more than 90% of users.
