Today marks the one month mark of using finasteride, but I've been using nizoral a little longer (check below for dates). I will try to update every month in the same format as below. Any comments are welcomed.
Where I was when I began: Slow recession, been receding for about 3 years. About a norwood two, beginning to thin in the frontal area between where the temples had receded, but only very slightly. No crown or vertex issues whatsoever.
Where I am now: Same, only thinning continues and am shedding more at the temples and in the frontal area than before.
Things I have noticed...
1. Increase in libido and ejaculation quantity.
2. Increase in acne, skin was fine before with the occassional pimple now I've been getting several and am having trouble battling them.
3. Facial hair seems to be growing faster.
4. Increase in shedding.
5. No signs of gyno or any other adverse side effect.
Regrowth?: No signs of regrowth, hair seems to be in worse condition than it was at the beginning of treatment.
How I Feel: I feel good because it seems like my body is at least reacting to the drug in some way which I'm hoping means that I am indeed a responder. On the other hand, my hair is worse than its ever been and it sucks.
Please note that these are only observations and I will without question continue with this regimen for a full 12 months at least. This is not meant to discourage anyone, as everyone knows the first year of this treatment is a bumpy ride. These are only the facts.
