looks fine duder

i would say get on finasteride since it really can't hurt - if you get sideeffects yous top taking - but quite frankly i dont think a doctor will prescribe it for you.

maybe if he's a family doctor and you ask idk - but it just looks like a mature hairline

No deterioration whatsoever. In fact, I misread your post and thought you had been on medication for 1yr 7mo. I was about to ask you if you are sure you should be on it and whether you had actually seen a doctor and been diagnosed with male pattern baldness. If anything, your hairline looks thicker and more defined to me but of course that could be the pics, lighting, hair length etc.

Man, that seems ridiculous to me. At his age and his supposed progression. He is so unsure of any loss he is asking on the internet. I cant see how it can be time to take drugs if you yourself cant even decide if you have lost anything.

OP I think you are worrying yourself too much. Paying attention and taking baseline pics like that at 16 years old? When do you feel you might have first started losing then? 15 years old?

If I were you I would forget about it and reevaluate in six months or a year. Trust me, youll *know* when you are losing hair. And if you jump on finasteride the moment you know for sure, there will be no real damage done. Youll be better off in the long run. If you start finasteride now, you might take it for life for no reason!

Your hair looks exactly the same as when you came to this site a year and half ago.
No one but a doctor who can do a complete miniaturization study can tell you if
you are loosing hair but from your pictures your hair looks great.
Go out and enjoy your young life and stop worrying.

Whoever told you to get on finasteride must be receiving some kind of incentive for promoting it.

Or they are stupid, but either way, don't take finasteride.

No change visible. Your not balding and at best a norwood 2 which is a mature hairline. Most men reach this stage some point in there life some younger than others its nothing to worry about. You know your balding when your hair is either going thin, a bald spot develops or your hair recedes to a norwood 3.
