hey guys, been a while since i've posted, for two reasons. one, i am starting rotations now so i'm busy all day and night (being on call), and two, my hair is pretty decent now. I can get out of the shower, towel dry, throw on some gel and it looks pretty good for the majority of the day. I worry about my hair still, but i am back to being myself again, thanks to propecia. the good news is, that i don't even remember the last time i saw an actual "hair" lying around on papers, or in the bathroom or shower. I can mess with my hair for ten minutes, and i might see like one, so i would say i have a good shot of maintaining what i got which is just a norwood 1.5 that is just a bit thinner than the average non-male pattern baldness dude. i probably won't be posting much on here anymore, but i'll probably check in from time to time to see how HM is moving along and to see who is still putting out the GourmetStyleWellness vibe. thanks to everyone for your help, it was invaluable and i honestly don't know what i would have done during some of those dark times without the wealth of information, good advice, and frustration outlet that this site provides. good luck to all! to newbies or those in the desperate stages of dealing with hairloss, hang in there! there is light at the end, and patience is the key. i'll be posting a more detailed post in the success stories sometime when i get a chance. again, good luck to all and thanks for the good times. peace

Good luck to you... And when you are choosing a residency remember the golden words "lifestyle" and "quality of life." After repeating those magic words for a few minutes consider dermatology, radiology and interventional radiology. Just my two cents : ) If those don't work look into "cruise ship doctor".

congrats man. I just posted my first thread in which I mention that I see many many hairs on my towel after drying off from the shower.
It's a scary situation, and I hope I can get to the stage you're at right now...
