Yeah it is looking worse. That sucks because in your January photos your hair looked amazing, like almost NW1. In my opinion it’s just that minoxidil is not working anymore. I can’t think of any other reason why you lost all gains.
I take that back. I went back on some of your earlier posts and you seem to still be above baseline. It’s really hard to tell though. You should compare side by side the two pics with your head buzzed.

I cant either, other than a possible shed. Ive always heard that with ANY hairloss treatment, it gets worse before it gets better. Hair sheds, then you get regrowth, hairs become more terminal. When you look at hair transplants, in the first few months the hair looks a lot less dense compared to the other hair, and eventually it gets more dense. Transplants usually take a full year before the full result is achieved. I cant really understand why in my case. Im not convinced my diet has anything to do with it, nor any lifestyle factors. Ive even started doing nofap. Never smoked ciggs and haven't drank alcohol in years.

Ive experiment with different shampoos over the years. The one I currently use is hair restoration laboratories. ive tried morocco method hair care all natural, and regenpure DR.

Ill take a look later. We'll see what happens in the next few months for sure. Maybe ill add some saw palmetto to the finasteride, a weak natural herbal ar inhibitor.

Speaking from experience, Minoxidil just doesn't do anything for the temples but it made my hair go to when I first spotted my hair loss, two years later on minoxidil and it's still improving, just not on the temples which are going worse. Win some, lose some.

I think the best course of action for temples is derma rolling it with 1.5mm

Should you not use minoxidil 24hrs before and 24hrs hours after dermarolling? I wanna give it a try.

Personally, I use minoxidil right after onto the areas I dermarolled. Although looking online some people dont reccomend this but I think it is working on my temples a bit.

With the way my hairline is starting to look, im really considering just dropping the finasteride, minoxidil. Just invest my time and money into other ways to benefit my health. 8 months on, I don't think ill be inhibiting any more dht nor regrowing anything more. I think im just a 25 year old dude whos been receding the past few years and male pattern baldness got the best of me.

I think the bald look really suits you. You might maybe want to maintain what you have now so that when/if new treatments come out you won’t have to start over again. It’s up to you really.

apparently most transplant places tho say you should stay on finasteride so your hair behind transplanted spots don't recede further. somethin to think about. no side effects so everythings good so far. just money wise it can be quite a bit to be consistently using finasteride and minoxidil etc

I think you pull off both bald and hair very well but for me you look better with hair. If money is the issue try getting your doctor to prescribe you proscar and then cut it into 4ths. And also maybe cut down minoxidil to once a day.

Talked to a pharmacist today, he says the keto shampoo daily may be to harsh and causing issues. He said to cut that out from daily to maybe 1x a week. When I explained 2% keto shampoo is part of the big 3 he said its mostly for fungal issues. The shampoo I use though isn't nizoral, its hair restoration labs, im pretty sure it has keto in addition to dht blockers. They direct you to use daily for 3-5 mins before rinsing. However, maybe its too much. Going to cut back on the shampoo, keep up minoxidil 2x/day and stay on finasteride. Been looking up reflex hyperandrogenicity lately and wondering if maybe I have that. Would kind of make sense. Few months into Finn and my sex drive was through the roof and still is. No side effects.

Wanted to update people, I've decided to stop Finasteride. I've accepted my situation and im just going to try and rock whatever hairline I have or keep a shaved head. I've started taking saw palmetto and stingling nettle root as well as a variety of other herbal adaptogens. I'll continue to to post in here and put pictures so you can see post finasteride, see if I shed anymore. As you can all see from the pictures my hairline did get worse while on the Big 3 so I don't think I can really " lose " any gains cause there aren't any gains to be lost. I'll continue dermaroller 1-2x a week and 5% minoxidil 2x/day. Still, no sides from the almost 8 months on finasteride.

Theres more to life than hair. Ive gotten back into weightlifting recently and other holistic things. Will be a cool experiment to see what the outcomes are of my hair. At best finasteride may have just stopped and slowed any progression. Thanks to anyone checking in here, and the advice and thoughts on whether I can pull off the chrome dome or not. Been days since Ive taken finasteride. I guess I just don't care about the hair anymore, my perspective changed.

Will post a hair update later today. Hair is looking okay, still recessed but coming in. Something I've noticed with the hairloss is that my hair grows in quite slow. I remember when I was younger my hair would grow super fast in just one month. Anyone else notice not just overall thinning hair/recession but also slower hair growth?
