Hey man I only scanned through the thread are you taking minoxidil aswell ? If not definite get on it . Your still young so any hair follicles would just be dormant rather than dead. There are people taking more aggressive courses of action with regimes and having amazing results there's no reason why you can't still get great results . There's still dutasteride and oral spironolactone. Do your research and weigh up the risks and rewards . Oral spironolactone scares me and I as yet haven't opted for it but I might give it a try at some point. My current regime is enough hassle at the mo though

Frowny face is right. It's up to you to decide what matters more, you're physiological development, or your hair. If I was you, I'd load up on topical androgen receptor blockers, topical spironolactone, nizoral, topical finasteride if you can find/make it and then when you're 18 or 19 jump on finasteride straight away.

Topical finasteride only works if it goes systemic, so you may as well use it orally. and in this case, not at all as he's too young.

I hate to say it, but it looks like the kid is destined to be fully bald pretty soon.

I'm a bit confused, so your saying / think that I will be fully bald soon regardless of if the current regimen of finasteride and nizoral for thep ast year has pretty much stabilised my hair?, Or will my luck run out soon?.

If I were in your situation, and had the knowledge you had at sixteen when I started balding I would sit down with my parents and discuss the option of having a hair transplant at their financial disposal.

You;re so young, and I know exactly how you feel! Nobody at this age deserves to have recessive genes to kick start male pattern baldness this early in development.

I have discussed the option with my mother and she was for the idea however even if i could hold onto this amount of hair that i have until im in my early 20s not alot of surgeons would be willing to do a transplant for anyone under 25 apart from dr armani ?, i found a forum post on another site of a transplant he did on an 18 year old who was in my same position and it was great, alot of people said negative things about it due to how young he was however in my eyes and a few others it was a smart move as even if it wasnt going to last forever it would hopefully manage to get him through his peak social years or just to hold out for another few years and get to an age where balding is more 'acceptable'. If that isn't an option then I'm just going to run numerous cycles of steroids and melanotan so I don't look like I have cancer. Pretty depressing looking at my options for my life from this curse, I Wouldn't wish this on my worse enemies.
