MUCH progress has been made in since August 05. I didn't take before pics. Suffice to say, i was looking pretty rough. The first 8 months were CONSTANT brutal shedding. After that, the shedding tapered off to almost nothing and the regrowth took off.

I'm still seeing new little hairs popping up.

Regimen:
Propecia - August 05
minoxidil 2% - Sept 05 - Spring 06
minoxidil 5% - Spring 06 - Present
nizoral - Spring 06 - Present
money well spent

I am on the same regimen as you for the last 2 months. I have been doing the rogaine only once a day. I am now going to up it to 2x a day. I feel like my hair is getting a lot worse. Did you experience the same? Where were you thinning, just on top?

Wonko -

I don't see much of a problem, but I need to know the following:

I notice many men who have enough hair to play with, have their hair combed back at the front hairline and temples. For some, this is just a distinguished looking style. For others, myself included, it is necessary to cover up thin areas behind the hairline and at the temples.

Are you in the former or latter group?

Do you have any diffuse areas on top or just the temple and hairline recession?

Also, how old are you?

Thanks.

Looks perfect to me..you don't have a hair problem anymore if you stay like that.

If I would comb my hair back I would have a mental breakdown because of all the hairs I would find in my comb or my hands.

how long have you been on your finasteride?

No, I am still shedding (though not as much as before) and my hair got thinner. The only positive thing is that my NW2 hairline has stayed the same. But I am still hoping to see some regrowth in the near future.

i did shed during the first months but after month 4 my shedding was almost nothing and has stayed that way since (fingers crossed that will continue). i am suspicious of people who see growth as early as months 5,6 as a reversal of miniturisation takes significantly longer, surely?

Wonko,

what Norwood classification were you before treatment?

Thank you for sharing your results with us!

I don't comb my hair. I keep it 1/2-1 inch so I don't have to. I have some very thin areas in front, but I don't bother covering them up. I could, but I hate having long hair.

when i started the Propecia/minoxidil i noticed the beginning of that inward curve, which has reversed itself nicely. I would say I'm right around a solid NW2 now.
