16 Year Old Receeding Hairline Help!

i've been resisting the urge to post and i have no idea how any of this works, im not educated on hairlines or hair loss.
About a month back i was at a friends house and he noticed my hairline. I shrugged it off as a joke but i started to take a closer look at it. After a few weeks I've been so paranoid to the point where i'm having anxiety thinking about it.
I'm 16 and i think my hairline is one of a 35 year old. I think it's extremely ugly, and the fact that there is no hair growing there is pretty sad, as someone young i would like a nice hairline

I've always had a high hairline, my dad inst bald he is 45 and he has a head full of hair ( just short and a little thin) and my hairline is worse/same than his. My hair is very thick and strong, grows extremely fast and i never notice any hair falling out. My brother is 2 years older and he has a similar hairline, not as bad. I can understand my hairline can be high due to genetics, but from my perspective my hairline is beyond genetics and very high up for a 16 year old. I'm very upset im experiencing this situation at such an age.

Sorry for the stupid post, i cant stop thinking about it and i think someone may be able to educate me about what im going through. I am an insecure person and looking at friends and how they have normal hairlines (completely straight) is really putting me off. Thanks

Some people do have a naturally higher hairline, and it doesn't mean anything at all. It could be that you just have the adult hairline now that you'll have until you're elderly.

But if you're upset about it, you should make an appointment with your dermatologist. The good thing is that even if it is moving (and that's a big if), it looks completely normal right now, so by seeing the doctor about it you'd be stopping any potential problem very early. Don't stress. You can make an appointment and see a dermatologist within a couple of weeks, and the hair isn't going anywhere in that time. If you feel the need to do something immediately there's always Rogaine over the counter, though I'd recommend you talk to a professional first.

this is 100% baldness. Temples are bald, and you have agressive miniaturization taking place around the hairline.

You say you have always had a high hairline, but do you mean your hairline has always been like this? it looks like a large amount of recession has/is taking place. Its hard to recommend anything at your age.

this is 100% baldness. Temples are bald, and you have agressive miniaturization taking place around the hairline.

I understand the circumstances, but is there anything i can do to prevent this? As you can tell im both upset and confused why this is happening at such an age. I don't understand any hormones or hair science so i have no idea, and i dont want my hair to go without me doing anything

for the time being, my family does not have any money for those type of products, but i'll look into the minioxidil or nizoral shampoo. no one in my family is bald either, thought i would mention that even my grandpa who was 80 had a full set of hair and both sides of my family have relatively good hair genetics so i guess i'm the only one with this problem

Do you have older pictures, and don't forget to go to the derm.
After you check (thyroid, iron ....) and talking to the derm you can think about minoxidil, finasteride (lower dose maybe), Nizoral or Ket.
If you get a prescription for finasteride, then it can be cheap (I live in Europe), minoxidil is not expensive.

ive always had a high hairline, in the past ive had a lower hairline but not significantly better. Recently since im 16 i've been going through alot of changes ( growth spurt etc) and my hair has gone back. I asked someone about derm and they said it cost a few hundred to have an appointment so im not in the financial situation to go. I guess i will have to deal with it and maybe try some shampoos that prevent hairloss.
