hi,
heres my story. I am basically a 17 male, and i do sports every now and then. Never dyed my hair or perm and sort. However, in around april i had a procedure to remove 4 of my wisdom tooth and two of others. Sad to say, i lost alot of blood and had to take two dose of the medication due to infection. However, in around may, i noticed that my hairline had receded to a Norwood 3. Before removing my tooth, i had a juvenile hairline. The area that my hairline had receded is now filled with hair that are thin and are around 0.2cm long in average, and the hair on my head are still very thick. what i wanna ask is that is my male pattern balding temporary or is it gonna stay? Did the surgery caused my balding to happen?
Thanks

I was also a NW3 at 17. I got Sebhorriec Dermatitis when I was 16 and this caused a crazy amount of shedding, and accelerated my male pattern baldness.
Do you have any kind of skin condition eg. Dermatitis, Eczema etc.?
I would go to your doctor, which is what I should have done, and have him take a look because its very unusual to be baldind at such a young age.

i dont have any hair conditions. my hair were shedding largely around one month ago but recently the shedding has stopped but its just that the hair on the hairline are not growing and seems to be stuck at around 0.2cm long.
the density of the hair is not a problem as i can still see much short hair there. i was just wondering why aren't the hair growing

A picture would be useful so you can get more responses from the others on the board. If the shedding has stopped, then maybe that's all you'll lose... At least for now.

What's your dad's/maternal grandfather's hair like?
