I'm 17 and I've been balding for maybe two years. The only relative I have who is balding is my dads brother. Anyway, the hair loss is progressing insanely fast, I'm talking like drastic changes every week. It's even balding on the sides and back. I've already been to the doctor and had a blood test, but it only concluded that I was low in folic acid, which I doubt is causing this. I really don't know what to do. There are 4 cousins on my dads side aged 16-22, and I'm the only one balding, really?

I looked at your previous pictures of your sides/back. Thats not typical of male pattern baldness also looks patchy. Possibly alopecia areata incognita there was another kid here around your age with it looked somewhat similar. Go see a dermatologist or better yet a hair transplant surgeon to get better answers. Also I would just be on the safe side and get another round of blood work done.

I may also add that my family has genetically really thin hair, Both sides. Also, I'm pretty sure it's mbp because I have a receding hairline?

Take a picture of your hairline like this

Then do the top/back/sides.

These me were taken a couple of weeks. Thankfully it hasn't changed since then.

Also, the patchy pictures you were looking at, my hair only turns like that, when I have longer sides and back and I've just woken up in the morning, when my hair is its most oiliest.

Looks like you have recession and some thinning. Which is common of male pattern baldness.

Now post a picture of your back and sides.
