Ketokonazol Shampoo is a waste of money. it doesnt work. it just gives you a temporary feeling of satisfaction that you are doing something about your hairloss. check out Suave 2 in 1 ph balanced shampoo i beleive 40oz for $3.69, awesome shampoo.
Did you go to a regular doctor? hmm, Well It is the dermatologist that general prescribes propecia, And derm that does hair transplants FYI. Listen the problem is in your head INK, Stop trying to prevent the baldness LOL! Stop worrying about it, If you are balding, Dont worry about it. You will thankyourself for all the worry youll save yourself.Well the appointment was pointless. The doctor didn't recognize baldness as a problem (he was bald) and didn't believe it was treatable either way. Hadn't even heard of propecia, after making him look it up he reluctantly admitted there could be something to it but still wouldn't prescribe anything to me, eventually he redirected me to a dermatologist...
Anything I should tell the derm to actually do something? Could I ask them to check my hair to see if I'm balding in any way?
Nice, Check out my pic:Just shaved my head, and while I might look like a cancer patient I feel great. No more worrying.

Not sure if thats your worry tho INKYes, ordered finasteride a few days ago, also got a derm appointment in a month or so... and buzzing my head might actually have been the scariest thing I've done in my life, no exaggeration!
Yes, One of the strongest and Most confident posts I've seen on this forum, More power to you Baldinghappens.hey man i know it sucks because its much more rare to find people loosing hair at early ages...im 22 and on an interval of one year i lost a lot of hair in the crown area...all the young guys of my family are "fighting" hair loss too...
I decided to not take finasteride, i did some research about side effects, stories, etc and decided that its not worth the risk. my grandfather went bald, my father went bald...thats my genetic and im proud of it. Honestly, your hair at the first pictures was nice and doesnt even look like hairloss, looks like a mature hairline. my hairline right now like a M. and honestly im enjoying my M hairstyle. Its a classic. Anyone can see that i'm loosing hair but I still getting lady normally. I might shave it in a couple of years, who knows.

You have it same as me, aggressive hair loss combined with acne and senoreha, your gonna loss it and fast if you will not treat it
Thats me in that post. I didn't feel like saying that all over again. Why the **** everyone linking to this site?
Just read this:
I have noticed the following convincing sign that you have Androgenetic Alopecia
A) Your hair quality is bad as shown in your original post
B) You have noticed shedding
C) You must have noticed that you have considerable thinning (I call it corrosion) in area that is widely ignored-the side hair in/above sideburns-I can never ignore that part
D) Your right temple shows a deep pointed, sort of one apex of a triangle going deeper, resulting in a triangle hairless spot on sides
E) You are Caucasian/European
Your Androgenetic Alopecia might take a shape of a frontal island shape in future-the pointed apex will make a kinda half u-turn leaving a dense island look in front, surrounded by thin hair or bald area; joined by ever increasing bald crown area from behind.
You are lucky in sense that you seem to be born with abundant/plenty of hair follicles to begin with. Coupled that with your darker hair, your Androgenetic Alopecia progression may take time. Additionally, I am pretty positive that you will respond very well to any treatment even in terms of hair regrowth.
You can do this
A) Wait and monitor to see if it progresses, stay on good diet/supplements (go to immortal hair to explore supplements such as Biotin)
B) Take finasteride only and see how that helps you for several months before you make final assessment (do not yet start anything else-you want to establish your threshold meds as simple as possible for long haul)
C) After months of assessment, if you still have considerable thinning, start with minoxidil only then to thicken your hair if you still have thin/sparse looking hair. minoxidil will most likely benefit you well. The reason I wouldnt start minoxidil first is because Androgenetic Alopecia needs to be treated at the root cause/problem which is adrogens-dht. finasteride takes care of it, minoxidil does not. Thus, minoxidil is superficial remedy while hair follicles down there are still being miniaturized. If finasteride. takes care of that, then hopefully you wouldn't need minoxidil at all.
D) You may start keto shampoo whenever you like, no more than twice or thrice a week to begin with.
E) Come back here if there is some unexpected situation or your hairloss is not subsiding and you are going fast. There is more you can do.
Know that, once you start any of the above treatments, there is no turning back- coming off of them would result in a disaster that would be even more depressing and killing. Thus, you must be sure that you can keep up with dedication (using treatments consistently) and sacrifice (putting up with sides-usually subside). Therefore, try to use one simple treatment at a time to see what works best for you. The idea is to find an easy threshold that you can carry on for best maintenance.
It is all your judgement call
(Note that above is purely my observation, sense, and judgement based on my intuitive thoughts and real life assessments- NOt a medical advise and certainly not any promise that it will happen to you what I spelled out above)
