18 years old... hair getting awfull(pics)

Hy guys,
This is my first post on this forum and i come with the hope that in the future i will survive with my hair .. which is becoming more and more damaged.
Im only 18 years old but my hair condition is not the best. Of course you cant wait to be a bald person at this age but as my hair is going im pretty sure that i`ll be in the next years.
I also have to mention that my dad and my grandfather are bald .. but i wish i wont be like them.

I tried till now minoxidil for 2 months and a few more products none of them helping at all.. maybe minoxidil a bit

Damn thats EXACTLY whats happening to the hair on the side of my head as well! The hair around my ears and hair running up to around my temple points is like paper thin yet the hair just above that area is thick. Many people ask me if I cut it like that. I kinda say yeah haha bad haircut gone wrong

I know, I have a friend that has been on finasteride for 2 years. He has put on over 30 pounds of muscle in the past year.....

It doesn't look that bad. You should get it cut a bit shorter so the contrast between the thick and thin areas is not as noticeable.
