19 yo on finasteride. day 2. strange feeling on chest

So I got my hands in local pharmacy on generic 5 mg finasteride. Even though doctors and derms refused to prescribe it because its "cancer only".
So I popped the pill, around 0.625mg yesterday and felt nothing. Until I remembered words of my drs about the sides.

So after being anxious I experienced mild to almost non feelable symptoms. Ball ache that pretty much couldve been the blue balls. I did feel minor stomach pain. Almost any ofthese things were present only when i was thinking about them.


But I am quite scares of gyno. Im not sure what it is. Could be hairs on around nipples. I dont feel any pain when i touch them. But i can sometines feel strange feeling as if someone slapped me on chest.

Again its nothing major.


Could somebody tell me is this in my head or i should stop before things go downhill?

Its so in your head its not even funny. You are much better off ignoring the hairloss websites for a few months. You have nothing to gain from being here and everything to lose. There is not going to be some sudden cure coming out of nowhere in the next six months that you miss. But you may well stop taking finasteride and let damage to your hair occur unnecessarily.

I don't even know what that guy said. But you are fine man. Stay on it. Don't be scared like your username. It does not mess up your blood pressure or electrolyte balance so there is no scientific reason for chest pain from finasteride. It's all in your head. And you are not going to get gyno. Thats the least common side effect and happens to out of shape people that already have high estrogen counts. You are 19 and healthy and finasteride will give you zero problems.

The name was random.

But lets say I'm taking for two days finasteride thats around 0.625mg.

It could be anxiety.

I have no problem with errections. No problem with sperm or libido either.


But the right part near the armpit. I dont know its name. Its like a muscle that connects you with chest. Diagonally.

Well in that part I do sometimes feel sting like pain. I dont feel anything when I touch it. Im kinda skinny and got bit sunken chest so I dunno.


I just dont want to have surgery later in my life which will make my chest look uglier because of gynonsurgery.


Logically I dont think its possible. But I do feel sharp pain sometimes near the armpits.

You have always had all those little feelings, they just went under your radar before. You had no reason to pay attention to them. Youve got to force yourself to stay rational. Honestly, so many people here, probably the vast majority even, have been where you are. I know I have! Here are a couple of threads I started a year or two ago. When reading them now Im not sure if I should laugh or cringe. Hang in there.

i remember when i first started finasteride. I thought i was growing tits, because it was one of the side effects...i stayed up until like 4 in the morning watching mens swimming to see if their tits were bigger than mine. IF it happens, it will be really obvious, stay the course. I wish I started a lot earlier than when i did.

30 minutes ago, as i write this. I woke up hearing my heart beat. I measured my blood pressure.

113/78 with pulse 98bpm.

Could it be because of finasteride alteration of progesterone and allopregnalone.

I felt today a bit fatigued and would feel dizzy and run out of breath pretty fast.


Not trying to fear monger or anything. Im not much scared either. Even though I got this user name. XD

to be honest, I would stop taking Finasteride. With this kind of paranoid, over-analysing attitude you're bound to experience side effects.

It can be many things. Obviously finasteride does change your hormonal profile.

So Im asking you, could this be because of my body adjusting to new hormonal levels or I should actually move my *** to cardiologist or endo.

Is that your blood pressure monitor? Do you measure your blood pressure a lot? In the subject you say you are 19 years old. You dont need to own or even be checking your blood pressure. You sound really paranoid. This is all in your head im afraid. Good luck with things and I hope you can see past this.

Have you posted pictures previously? Has anyone even diagnosed you with male pattern baldness? If not, you should get it confirmed because with the way you are talking it wouldnt be a shock if you are imagining your hair loss too. Not saying you are imagining it, I wouldnt rely on just your own judgment if I were you. Its impaired.

You are being your own worst enemy at the moment.

EDIT: Sorry, didnt notice your update reporting that you now feel you have no sides. Much better news.

You've taken what, two doses? It doesn't work that quickly, or else people would be seeing improvements more quickly. How are you taking suck a strange dose, are you dividing the tablet into 8ths?
