2 Years Finasteride, Still Losing Ground (pics)

I'm losing my original hairline too. It's receding, worse on the right side, one of your sides is worse than the other too. I havent used anything and even though I can see a very little progress on one side. It's still not enough. You say 2 years on pills. Mine was like what it is rn and it's still the same. Wonder if your progress would be much worse without the pills or stay the same...

Yea exactly just don’t know if the pills are helping or making it worse. Thinking about maybe doing RU on the hairline. Has anyone gotten success from Ru on hairline?

You get well with the pills in a week and without them in 7 days same sh*t bro. Placebo effect is what it is. I hate the fact that one side is always much worse than the other. It's usually the right. My right side bugs me so bad I will get dht and blood tests done asap... That's what you should do too. Your crown looks just fine and %5 of your hair came back on your worse side. I think you started taking it late. Too late for me too because my hairline got screwed... if I start using it rn, my progress will probably be like yours. Damn that! 2 years and almost no change? but the thing is there's always something worse. Maybe you kept it from getting worse by taking those pills because my hairline keeps getting worse. I don't want it like the way it is now. I don't wanna use pills if they wont regrow new hair but just imagine us like footballer Robben? f*** man. Ill get those tests done and make a decision. If it will get a lot worse than it is rn, I am willing to take those pills. Your hair is fine rn. You seem to have baby hairs on and around your hairless spots, means this sh*t is showing some healing and I read it can take 5 years to see progress... at least your hair strands dont look like shrunken hairs like mine does...

Update: month over two years on finasteride.

-A month ago I bumped up to 2.5mg of finasteride from 1.25mg.
-2.5 mg oral min
- proxi cream on hairline.
- I also added tropical RU three weeks ago to one side of the hairline. Experimenting to see if it helps.

I continue to shed on average 200 hairs a day (100-300 hairs some days)

To me, my hair feels thinner but in the pictures it looks pretty similar with a little recession at the hairline.

Blood dots are from derma.

And why are you using RU while on finasteride?

Your crown is fine. I cant tell about your hairline because the picture is too close to your forehead. I need a wider scope.

You’ve lost less than a centimeter of hair line ground in two years. Dont know about you, but that sounds like a success to me.

It’s the 200 hairs a day shed that’s killing me bro. I didn’t notice a shed before finasteride. Then it’s been pouring out of my head since. Hair feels thinner too. But it could mostly just be in my head. What I would give to stop this shed.

Shedding is not hair loss. You said it yourself, your hair is not worse. So, dont give a f*** if you're shedding 200-300 hairs. Give your mind a rest. Take your pills and try to forget, you'll benefit.

Thanks for your feedback bro. But I’m using RU on my hairline to see if it works. My hairline is continuing to recede slowly. My crown is also diffuse I do a great job with comb over to hide the thinning.

I still lose on average 200 hairs a day.
