Ive been on finasteride (1.25 mg every day) since august and also have been using Lipogaine which is a keto shampoo 3-4 days a week. My hair has been having cycles. Its been 7 months since I started and I feel like the first few months were horrible due to the shedding. And then some days re I would wake up and think in my head "wow my hair looks a lot better" and then other days like today where I am thinking I might look even worse than when I started. You guys be the judge. I don't know if its all just part of the medicine and maybe my hair will look better later. It just worries and saddens me that I thought I would at least see some improvements and now I am thinking it might be even worse than if I did nothing at all.

I don't want to start minoxidil unless its the absolute last way to help the situation. Basically to sum it up I feel like my hairline has thinned out much more (possibly receded more) but possibly I might have had some progress on the crown (probably more like maintaining). What do you guys think I should do?

Here are some pics of when I started finasteride. (all in direct lighting from above)

And Here are some pics of today (7 months later). The first few are in direct lighting from above and then the last couple are in normal lighting.

I just want my hairline to fill up more. In person it just looks so bad with the hairs looking very thin. I don't even care to "straighten" my hairline. I just want to make it denser. What should I do?

I think your hairlines has thickened slightly, the lighting definitely doesn't help. How were you sure you were even loosing your hair? I guess you did loose your temples, it just doesn't look that bad.

Could just keep going with propecia if you got some results in the hairline you might get more later on.

well its not that hard to realize your losing hair when you look in the mirror and you see big patches of thinning hair. And also it helps that my barber would point out that im balding in the back when I would get cuts.
