i am no longer on propecia but don't have an issue with its efficacy. Light years ahead of anything before or since.

Just curious: why are you no longer on propecia?

I have some concerns about long term use specific to libido and penile tissue health. I also believe these may be of greater concern to those older guys (54) like me.

Hmmm... Well the only reason why I asked is because I remember you were a strong supporter of using that drug, and I myself just got a prescription written up last week. I just felt that one of the notable authorities of the medicine had made a conscious shift.

Does long term use really concern you? What about guys who take proscar for prostate health? Don't they stay on the drug for a very long time?

I don't know about notable authorities, but I have been an advocate and still am for the most part.

Having said that;

Using proscar for prostate issues (BPH) is I think a different issue. There you are dealing with a serious medical issue and proscar is the deal for that. Other considerations to me would be sedondary and I would take the drug.

For hairloss, I am simply now commited to working on the topical side of life AND finasteride did grow hair for me.

Perhaps I am getting more risk adverse as I age.

I could care less if Bosley can start wiping his *** with 100 dollar bills instead of 50's, as long as the procedure works and gives people a full head of hair back that's all that matters. Besides Bosley was bought out by a Japanese company I believe, so maybe some of their pride in what they produce ideals will rub off on the Bosley people.
