20yrs old - on 0.5mg dutasteride a day

Decided to bite the bullet at got some Dutasteride. I've been taking 0.5mg a day and now i'm on my 18th. Had some initially shedding for the first week but has since got marginally thicker, still too early to say though; I've not noticed any side effects yet. Oh, and I haven't used finasteride before.

Also just bought some Revita shampoo and might get started on kirkland mino foam again (did rogaine for 4 months in 2011)


Opinions and tips are appreciated thanks!

18 days? The meds didn't effect the follicles, hair fall out, go through the entire rest cycle, and regrow the length of your normal hair all in just 18 days. You are imagining things. But good luck

Yeah I was also surprised, but there has definitely been some regrowth on my hairline. The regrowth hairs appear thicker but i'll have to wait for them to grow out more before judging.

There is surely no way that the changes you are seeing is due to 18 days of dutasteride. If they're happening it has to be something else.

DCK, sometimes, I notice my hair naturally going through cycles of appearing thinner or thicker (i'm not on any medication yet either). Sometimes it's just nice and lustrous and appears thicker, other times it can appear to be thinner and lifeless for a few days. It's probably much more likely to be that rather than dutasteride somehow making your hair look thicker after 18 days.
