Hi guys,im back again. This is what my hairline looks like after a journey of 5 months on finasteride. My temples seem to be still receding, but my crown got thicker, thats it. Not big improvements,to be honest. What are your thoughts?

Im really disappointed that my hairloss is till progressing

I remember you. Honestly your result is similar to mine so far. Hairline lost a little but the back of my head did improve and family members told me they think my hair looks better.

Still have 6 more months to see full results so I'd stick with it.

I don't even see any hair loss. This smells like a troll thread
When he wrinkles his forehead. The space between his hair and the wrinkles, that's probably the hairloss. Also, on the temples, the hair are shorter

I mean, congrats to those who spot it early and choose a treatment for it. But on the other hand, I personally don't know how OP's hair looked like before so I can't tell much

The only hair loss I see is the thinning at the temple area. Very minor and treatments should help maintain that.

strong BDD case. I'm not even sure you're a full NW1, let alone further up the scale
( people often interpret the scale wrong, nw1 already has a very slight amount of recession, if you look at it from a top down perspective. it's not straight across like a black hairline or that of a child)

what you do have is a highish natural hairline. ( like +-7cm from the eyebrows?), makes even the smallest amount of hairloss infinitely worse. your hairline will most likely 'mature' like most Caucasian men ( aka slightly bald till a nw1.5/2 and then stabilize) but since your forehead is already tall, you don't have much leeway before your proportions start getting fucked

So what do i do? I have always had a giant forehead, you just translated into words what i think. having a giant forehead is worse than being a NW3 with a low forehead. The small recession gets me fucked, because my hairline natural hairline is shitty

what you're doing right now. hang on for dear life to those thinning hairs on the front and temples. finasteride takes a while before you can accurately gauge its effectiveness but it seems to be doing its job. maybe add minoxidil if you have the dedication; oral if you're really desperate and/or lazy

no surgeon will do a hairline lowering/forehead reduction procedure at your age. most surgeons won't even do them on men full stop

keep your hair and if you're still unhappy lower that forehead in your 30s

they can also pull down the skin or something. more invasive and leaves a big scar, that's why you need to make sure you don't go bald any time soon

transplanting a whole new hairline, like almost an inch of hair, will look silly. since your hair is thick and a transplant can never mimick native density so the contrast will be off

I have a very naturally high forehead and over time my hairline went up to make it look even higher. Not much you can do about that. It's genetics. You could get a forehead reduction but the scar at the hairline would make it not worth it. Honestly, your forehead size is not bad at all.

Thanks man. I dont mind the size of it,the problem is the width. if my forehead was only tall,i would be ok with it,but it is wide as f*** and disharmonize my face. however,as u said, its genetics. My mom and dad had high foreheads,so i should at least be thankful i stll have hair

His options are either embracing it or rocking the TikTok fuckboy haircut
