I've been watching my hairline since the age of 19 but only started taking photos last year. I've been keeping a particularly close eye on that volatile looking right temple. Here are today's photos:

Now the left temple is worrying me as well. That looks like recession to me. My hair has also felt very fine recently. The hair at the back/top feels thicker than right at the front. I've had bad dandruff since the age of 15, but lately the hairline itself has been itchy at times.

Here's a photo from only 9 months ago. You can see how thick it was:

Is it more likely that I've suddenly and aggressively started balding since then, or that the longer length made it thicker? Most people seem to agree that growing your hair out DOESN'T make it thicker though.

I'm visiting a specialist soon, so hopefully I'll get a prescription for finasteride if he confirms it's thinning.

Bump. Guys, I would really appreciate the help :(. Am I seeing things or what? That amount of recession can't just be because of a maturing hairline, can it? Maybe this will show it better:

It looks like it's on a knife's edge to me. I honestly didn't come here to whine about having a high hairline, like a lot of other young guys do. I would be overjoyed if it were possible to maintain this hairline for the rest of my life. I definitely don't want it getting any worse though.

I think there is slight recession, might probably be more noticeable after a few years. Try dermarolling maybe ?
