Hi all,

First things first - I'm damn glad I found this site!

I'm 24 and have noticed my hairline receding for a few years now. All well and good but it has started thinning now, and I can't comb or style my hair without a strand or three coming out along with it.

Rubbing my hand through my hair and I suspected it had started to thin out. Tonight I took some pictures and after looking around this forum, I think my fears have been confirmed. My maternal grandfather lost his hair at 21 so it's slightly foreboding. I've always had very thin and straight hair, but it has hit a point I feel.

Any help or advice would be HUGELY appreciated. Nice to know I'm not alone in this fight!

From the UK in case you suggest any medication.

Thanks!

Yeah it looks like diffuse thinning. I had the exact hair loss pattern as you 2 years ago when i was 29. Educate yourself as much as you can about treatment, side effects, hairloss mechanism etc..and start big 3. Be proactive bro and you'll regrow hair... good luck...

What sort of regime would you all recommend? Obviously I'm afraid of side effects.

I live in the UK if that helps in terms of medication.

Thanks all!

The big 3.

Finasteride
minoxidil 5%
A good keto shampoo. I use Nizoral but it drys the hair. Look at something like regenpure or revita. Costs more but doesn't give you frizzy hair at least.

Start as soon as you can. You have a good head of hair already so it shouldn't be too difficult to fill that in within a year.

Thanks for the advice!

Any UK members here have experience getting Finasteride on prescription from the NHS? I generally find GP's here to be atrocious in terms of helping with issues that aren't life threatening.

Hold on.. You sure he should start the big 3 and not just finasteride?
I dont think your looks so bad that you need major regrowth.

Will Rogaine alone yield any results?

My doctors won't prescribe me finasteride because of potential side effects.

Clearly I'm afraid of getting started on finasteride after reading about the side effects.

Is it imperative I get started on that asap or can I try some minos before hand?

Thanks!

Going to buy some of the big 2 next month and see where it goes from there.

How long until some folks see progress on finasteride and minoxidil?

Thanks again for everyones help.

Good luck with your regimen, dude! I'm about to start finasteride only.

From what I hear, you can see the first results from the month six after starting regimen.

Thank you Tom.

I'm going to order from In House Pharmacy Europe.

In terms of finasteride, is the generic stuff fine? Do some work better than others?

I want to spend my money wisely but if the generic stuff does the job, may as well go cheaper.

Thanks! I'm looking at legit finasteride on the website. I just want to make sure that all legit forms of finasteride do the same job. Wondered if there were some better than others because of the price point.
