Hey guys, another bloke here concerned with their hairline!
I'm pretty confused. Every male in my family has never suffered male pattern baldness, we all have extremely thick hair. My grandfather even has a full head of thick hair and he's in his 90's. My father always told me I'd never have to worry about hair loss growing up so I never even took notice of it going into my 20's. Every time I go to the barber they say how thick my hair is and have to thin it.
So when I shaved my head I noticed I have a very horse shaped hairline, my temples have receded but I'm not sure if my hairline was always that shape because I never took notice of it. I can see thin bits of hair on the temples so this indicated recession has happened, but is it normal? Could it just be a "mature hairline" Overall my hair is extremely thick still.
Please let me know if it's a cause for concern because I'd like to take action if it's receding. I also asked and showed my doctor and he said it isn't male pattern baldness and that I'm fine but I'm not convinced. I've suffered from a lot of stress in my life and think it might be from that or medications I've used
Here are some photo's, thanks in advance!
