Hi guys

Im just adding to my updates on Avodart now. Im coming up to three months complete on Avodart now and i havent seen any visible improvments, but have seen my hairline getting a screwed. Not sure what to do, but it stil might be early days I guess. Hairline is getting hit in that the island effect is forming up front and a bit more hair is being lost near the crown. I did use spironolactone for the first month but it stinks real bad. Not sure what to do now.

Thinking back Im wondering if I should have switched to a higher dose off Propecia rather than Jumping on Avodart....

Chances are it's just a shed mate! Ie, a positive sign!

At least stick it out for the recommended year.

And taking a higher dose of finasteride is in no way proven to help you any more... at least dutasteride works in a different way so stick it out I say.

Thanks for the advice...

Thing is my hair has been shedding on and off since the second week, even though I did have some new bumpy hairs at week 3, but nothing since then.

Are you on dutasteride too- Barry Blue?

I'm telling you, this hair loss issue is a real pain in the crack.

I've been on Dr. Reddy's generic dutasteride for about 7months to be exact. My hair has gone through some very nasty sheds, but I've maintained my hair-line and it's starting to really fill in.

I also use 1% Nizoral every other day.

I am but only for a month or so... so can't really comment on it yet.

If something's happening up there it's usually a better sign then nothing happening, if that makes sense. Trust me, stick it out.
