45 days on minoxidil(Rogaine foam) and nothing yet.

Starting to think I am doomed to look like an old man. I'd like to try finasteride. (propecia/proscar) but ingesting it scares me after hearing all the possible sides to it. Wasted money on the Rogaine it would appear and I'm not a rich man by any means.

If you expect result in 45 days it clears you have done ZERO research and thats a horrible disservice to yourself.

The Rogaine material itself says you should start to see something around 2 months, well I'm almost there and so far zip.

Well then sir, you tell me how much of a coincidence that a lot of people in Hollywood are capable of appearing younger than they are well into their 40's. I mean a lot of male actors do not appear to lose a hair or age much at all. This cannot be coincidence.

Yeah, if you don't have slight regrowth after 45 days i don't think you'll get much more, maybe some thickening + slowing down of the process.

Liquid is more effective (someone had a study on here proving so, search for it)

Secondly, I read your not a rich man - start buying Kirkland Minoxidil off e-bay, you can get a 6 month supply of the stuff for like 50 dollars. It's made by Rogaine and does exactly the same.

Thirdly, maybe get on Nizoral 2%. This will help majorly and won't do you any harm.

Finally, get some balls and try finasteride. If you get sides, quit. If you don't, wey hey, you will practically stop your hairloss. It's worth a try right?

1 study doesnt mean anything and some people like liquid better and some like foam better..just cuz its yer opinion and others doesnt mean its true,who did the study and where did it come from? is it from the fda? or just some random european *** lab..ill grow up when you and a bunch of others stop saying stupid sh*t...liquid and foam both work just fine

I gave Rogaine Foam well over 15 months, I can say it doesn't work as good as the liquid BUT if he has never used liquid before Foam should be okay as it's easy to apply. I believe the study was from rogaine itself but that does NOT mean the Foam doesn't work, it's far better than using nothing. I know many people who simply won't use liquid rogaine because of the time it takes to dry so the foam is the second best choice, just give it more time at least 4 months. Except a shed then some regrowth which takes a few months 3-4 at least! This is just my opinion, foam was good to my scalp but the hair it grew was just way too light and didn't match my natural hair color.

just because you don't see any new hair growing doesn't mean the minoxidil isn't working.

for me it's all about maintenance - i don't see any new hair growing, but i use it every day because i don't see any hair disappearing either.

works best in combo with finasteride. if you're serious about keeping your hair you'll give it a try - absolutely no sides here (like most people).
