Before treatment:

After 5.5 months of only Revivogen:

Just a quick overview. I'm 22 and started noticing some minor thinning in the left temple back in the fall. Hair wasn't bad at all to begin with, which is why I started with a mild treatment. I shed a lot of hairs since starting Revivogen which I guess is supposed to happen, but I don't think anything's growing back fuller or thicker. Anybody else have a similar experience? I'm really pissed off right now because I feel I've wasted a lot of cash on a product that's killed my scalp.

crap man, that's some serious recession in just 5 months but I know how you feel. My hair really bad in just 2 months. My theory is you have MBP and Revivogen is just a snake oil nothing more. You should get on propecia as your temples really receeded pretty quickly. Add Rogaine and Nizoral 2% and hope for the best

Crap. I thought this stuff would at least SLOW male pattern baldness down. I have no idea what to think. Anytime I start applying the serum in a new area, I start thinning out in the new areas of application, so I don't know if I'm just temporarily shedding or having some kind of allergic reaction to this crap. All I know is that at the really slow rate I was losing hair before I started the treatment, I probably would have been a lot better off right now if I had not been using Revivogen. The fact that I lost so much hair a few weeks after starting treatment leads me to believe Revivogen is causing all this thinning.

I would start an intense treatment asap

spironolactone Cream on Hairline
Nizoral
Tricomin (for a healthy scalp)
finasteride

drop that sh*t mate

one thing is shedding on finasteride but shedding on sh*t that doesn't exactly have too many documents successes isn't worth the risk

get straight on nizoral and finasteride buddy

big 3+spironolactone cream and tricomen, it has only been 5 months so if you are lucky you should be able to regrow the hair you lost, start ASAP and keep us updated. If you are willing then I personally would go for Kitchen sink regimen, you should check into Casperz and First's regimens.

I sent these pictures to Revivogen to see if this is an allergic reaction. I highly doubt this is natural male pattern baldness since I only started shedding massive amounts of hair after starting Revivogen.

Plus I started an experiment two months ago where I started applying the serum to parts of my hair that weren't thinning. Two months later, those areas have thinned out. So yeah, what the hell?

revivogen has gfse in it. i think it is this or some other ingredient that is of concern.

i was under the impression that although it stops shedding, it also stops hair from regrowing.

I dont think that revivogen could be just straight destroying your hair...unless youre having some type of allergic reaction. Are their any vellus hairs around your hairline where you have receded?

There's a few vellus hairs (20 at most) that have gone terminal in areas that I have receded, but there just ain't enough of those little guys popping up to restore any hope in this product. I am waaaaay below my baseline with no signs of improvement. My hair's getting a lot thinner on this stuff. Definitely a lot more hair loss during these months of application. I started off trying to thicken up my left temple, but now just under 6 months into this process, my once intact right temple is looking worse than my left temple, despite the fact that I have been applying Rev diligently every night. What's even more discouraging is the lack of pictures on forums like these showing any kind of maintenance or improvement on this product. The pictures on Revivogen's website are a joke. Also, the Revivogen people have not gotten back to me about the possibility of an allergic reaction.

Anyway, I'm done with this crap.

Why do you think they're a joke?

Bryan, why doesn't Revivogen work for the majority of people?

You can't really use anecdotes on hairloss forums to make a final judgement on such a product; other than that, I can't really say much about it. I just don't know.

Maybe it's bad to put so many ingdridients together in one serum?

revivogen is one of those products that I dont know what to think of....(?)

it looks good on paper...(at least the original formula they had when it xcame out) but in practice I dont see success stories with it.

my two cents:

Finasteride

Nizoral 2% ( 3x week)

Piroctone Olamine shampoo

Nano shampoo

for inflamation/discomfort in your scalp I`d look into an essential oil mix (home made)..... has both antiandrogenic and antinflamatory actions. its easy to use, even if you leave them on for 30 minutes or so it`ll give you benefits... oils penetrate really well.

good luck.

It's quite obvious that the majority of those before and after pictures on the website are taken from different angles and lighting conditions to make it look as though there was some improvement. And a few of those guys are clearly rocking a comb over in those after pictures to conceal their loss. More so, there's no indication on the amount of time these guys spent on the product. 3 months? 6 months? 2 years? Who knows. There's also no progress pictures in between the before and after, so we don't have any idea what we're supposed to expect in terms of progress.

Look at these propecia result pictures:

If revivogen really does regrow hair, then the company should take pictures like these. IE: under the same lighting conditions, same angles, and over a 12 month time span.

I feel like I had the exact same thing happen with rogaine, which is a "proven" treatment, so I feel with you. It´s like you don´t know if you should quit or keep going. I shed and receded A LOT on rogaine (was using nisim at the same time). Then I quit, and sure enough, 3 months later came a huge shed. Got back on and kept shedding when applying. Just started nanominox FMS which is topical minoxidil with finasteride and ketaconzacole. It seems better but too soon to tell. If you´re afraid of the side effects from finasteride, try it out. Expensive but what the hell.

UPDATE:

So it turns out all this hair loss might not be related to DHT at all. I got a blood test a few weeks ago and lo and behold, I have a pretty major iron deficiency. Serum ferritin was ridiculously low. Also got diagnosed with hypo-adrenalism, which basically means my cortisol levels are all out of whack. Anyway, this explains why revivogen had no effect on my hair loss.

Right now, I'm on a whole lot of iron and vita-c supplements and waiting to see what happens...
