5 months propecia, hair getting finer

My story:

I started noticing some hair loss in early January during my company's "busy season".. which involves 75-90 hour work weeks. I didn't think it was from stress because I really didn't feel like I was stressing out. I decided to be proactive and try propecia early February.

From the start I was shedding, and now after 5 months I continue to shed, my hairline has receded and I have noticed that the hair that falls out has been getting extremely fine. The shedded hair in the beginning was thick like usual, but now some hairs are so thin that they are hard to even see.

Sooo.. continue on propecia? Try something else? I'd appreciate any input whatsoever.

You don't really lose hair while on Propecia, because it doesn't make sense.

Your case is either Propecia is not working for you, or it's just shedding before good things will come. You have to give it at least 1 year, sometimes optimally 1,5 - 2 years. If your situation won't change, then you could say that Propecia isn't working for you.

I was under the impression that Propecia usually causes shedding in the beginning stages.

Yes, it sometimes does. Maybe you are going through it now. I guess you have to be patient now.

Yeah I was prepared to shed a lot, but my main concern was the fact that my hairs have gotten so much finer. I haven't really read about that a lot here. I've read how people's have have gotten thinner, as in their head has gotten less dense with hair.. but not the individual hairs getting thinner.
