i tried finasteride with .5mg for 3 weeks then 1mg for 1 week....got sides from .5mg and worse with 1mg.

Why would you double the dosage after having side effects? That makes no logical sense.

Your regime says you planned to start propecia as of this month, that would mean you've only used it for 2 and a half weeks at most.

Yeah that's what I wrote back in nov that I would start in jan 2012 ...was undecided by then. After finals exams I took the first pill, look for my name in other forums or maybe this one i wrote "i poped the first pill today" and kind of was fooling myself of the side effects for a while but they were there...just thought they were mild or psycological and was happy at the beggining to treat my hair loss with the most potent drug.

I wouldn't lie I don't sell RU or Snake Oil nor I would stop anybody from being happy (with propecia). I think propecia is a good drug and I believe everything Spencer Cobren says, he is a really good guy and cares about us hair loss sufferers.

For you it might be worth it, for me it wasn't...the side effect especially about brain fog and cognitive issues...i need my brain functioning more than 100%.

Before taking propecia I was like I dont care about being castrated...but never thought of brain fog or chest pains I had would really interefere with my studies/job then when i was ready to perform some action bam...weakest erection ever and Im usually STRONG like a HOURSE no kidding I mean my penis could be made of iron for all i know and it was gone(thats 1mg dose), with .5mg I had 90% erection and loss of libido n had lost morning wood. With 1mg I had heart beating ( it wasn't psycological because it happened when as soon as I woke up), loss of libido 100% , chest pains even when walking and forgetting about hair loss.

The reason i bumped it up was because I was scared of .5mg not being able to save my hairline or density so I bumped 1mg because The side effects were mild and I could deal with them, brain fog wasn't so bad at the beginning. So I thought I might get the same side effects but save more hair or it's all psychological.

I think its a bad drug for people like me but for the majority is a good drug, You should think if you can deal with side effects all these years before taking it, i know there's no way I can go to work like that.... :sobbing: I'm slowly embracing the baldness...if RU gives me side effects I'll shave it :S n I have the uggliest fukin head you'll see in your entire life kind of like an alien...lol !

Hmm.

If I don't drink all week and work out before bed, my erections are hard as hell (apols for imagery). If I drink like an a**h** and slob out all day my libido is low.

This didn't happen 4-5 years ago (I'm 28), I always had high libido.

I dunno maybe you guys are just getting old. :dunno:
