6 month update with pics from 3 months and currently

I've now been taking Fincar for 6 months. I started with 1.25 doses everyday but due to potential sides I reduced intake to EOD.

I'd just like to hear some input as to whether my condition looks the same, has progressed, or has improved. The photos are not the best quality. I have higher quality ones, but they're nearly a meg in size. So hopefully these ones should do justice.

By the way, I use nizoral 2-3 times a week, and have been using American Crew spray in my frontal hairline area and temporal area for four months now. I'm also considering adding MSM to my regimen for a hopeful faster kickstart in the growth of all these new hairs I have popping up all over my hairline (especially my left side). I've been also comtemplating in investing in one of those amazinghairbrushes that are under $100.

Any input would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

SBJ

By the way, I just came to find that when clicking the url for some odd reason it's not displaying the images from September but the ones in June work. So for the September images you'll have to cut the url and paste them in your browser to view them. Sorry about the inconvience.

For some reason, when you click on the damn things they're not showing up. I specifically had to copy and paste the url into my browser for it to work.

They pics weren't working for a while and now they show up. Maybe your the site that hosts the pics was down for a while. Looks good. You should add nizoral to your regimen.

I think you look almost exactly the same in both sets of pics. But I think that can be a good thing, especially if you were losing your hair at a quick pace. Moreover, there probably isn't much difference because your hair already looks good in the before pics, so any hair you gain it won't be that noticable in the first place. I will say, however, that your hair seems a bit thicker in the after shots, but that could be just the lighting; regardless, your hair looks real good--I'm jealous : )

Well I'm glad to see the pics are finally working. Thanks for the feedback. I actually already use Nizoral. Have been using it 2-3 times a week for over 6 months now. As I mentioned, I'm thinking of adding a few additoinal things to the regimen (lazer-brush and MSM). You can't really see it due to the lighting, but I have a sh*t load of hairs coming in on my left side of my hairline. Just would like to speed up the process of them growing.

I could always go the minoxidil route, but I'm afraid of having any crazy sheds in the frontal area, since short hairs don't mix all that well with the long ones. I'm just hoping between the peptides, laser, finasteride, and msm I can get a little growth back in my hairline region.

By the way, what Norwood scale would I be considered at?

Hey, that's great that your regimen is working for you. I am thinking of taking finasteride myself, and I feel encouraged to do so based on your results that you see. As far as taking minoxidil, I wouldn't worry about it. I've been taking it for about 5 years (5% and 2%). And I can indeed say that I would probably be 10x worse without it. I never did my homework in studying male pattern baldness and simply took it to maintain my hair; indeed, I feel it did an excellent job. However, learning from this site and others, I know now that I should of tackled male pattern baldness from multiple directions.

But I suggest that you go ahead and try minoxidil 2%. I suggest that you try this first since the possibility of irritation is much less than with the 5%. Of course, you could try and circumvent the irritation by using some of the propylene glycol free versions available, most notable from Dr. Lee. I never used these myself, but I see that they are recommended by many users. If you do use minoxidil, you should expect some shedding, however. My shedding started almost immediately and probably lasted for a few weeks--no big deal.

As far as what level of Norwood you are, I would imagine that you are at the lowest level based on the pictures that you provided. Even though you might have a little thinning, your hairline looks perfectly normal to me. :salut:
