first off let me say that almost every male on my fathers side, and like 1/2 on my mothers have some male pattern baldness. Most (maybe 90% on both sides have like a 4 or 5V type of hair based on this chart http://www.stevens-trichology.com/male- ... -chart.jpg)

Anyways, back to the actual post. I posted 6 months ago asking if male pattern baldness began and i posted some pictures. I had just turned 19 then.
When you guys saw the pictures you said that i had nothing to worry about, and that i shouldn't do anything at all, and should take pics in 6 months to see the differences.
so now is 6 months later and i just took some pics.

Now i know that i was supposed to take pics with my hair approximately the same length but my hair was much much longer back then so there is no way i can do that so sorry for that, and if it makes things harder.

Anyways
here are the pictures from 6 months ago

what do you think?
Also, do you think i should start with anything? Like nizoral 1%/2%
even if hairloss hasnt started, shouldi start using nizoral?

Thanks A Lot!! :D

I'm not trying to be rude to you, but in all seriousness I think you need to see a therapist and get help for your paranoid obsession and maybe start on some meds.

In the first set of pictures, you're quite clearly what's known on the Norwood Scale as a NW1.

After looking at the second set of pictures, if I were to choose a place on the Norwood Scale for your present hair, I would choose... NW1.

You have no hairloss. (Although, what are those "lines" on your temple-hair? Is that just the way your hair has been cut?)
What you need to do now is go into the Impact of Hair Loss forum and post on how hard it is to be bald.
Make sure the thread gets to 3 or 4 pages before you post pictures there for maximum comedic effect.

Regards
A NW4A.

what lines are you talking about? I dont think it has to do with cutting my hair because i just did a buzz cut like 4 weeks ago so i dont think its that.
but i dont really know what lines your talking about.:(

and sorry if i offended you somehow. Im just really worried :(
im not saying im going bald.. im just asking if in you guys opinion it has started so i can start doing what is necessary. i want to catch it as early as possible so i can keep my hair and thats why im doing this.
again, sorry if i offended you.

OH And i more things :0
since u say i have no hairloss yet, would it be bad to use nizoral 1% once a week? or should i just use normal shampoo every other day?

I wasn't joking and I wasn't trying to be rude, as far as your hair is concerned you should be confident.

There's nothing wrong with talking to someone about things though and there's a time in everyones life where they need to ask questions and learn to deal with and manage things better.

i see what your saying..
i need to see a psychiatrist is all... (no joke there either)
cause i really need to stop stressing and worrying over every single thing. (and i mean EVERYTHING)

but back to the topic of hair.

why is my crown area and top of my head painful to the the touch. Not like immense pain, but i do feel it. it also tingles i guess when im not touching it.

Is it from stressing over it too much you think?

oh.. and could someone answer my nizoral question plz :innocent:

I think you have the right idea with it being stress related, many years back I went through the same thing and was very stressed sue to losing a child and was drinking and stressing every second of the day and I had the same thing you described along with a lot of shedding and it was because of stress, I had that itch and same tingle you described and even some sore redness.

From ?
Are you a scandi? maybe Dutch?

You didn't offend me BTW, I am just joking around.
This forum gets more NW1's / people who aren't bald than people with male pattern baldness.

but what is this? I was talking about this earlier.

You can use Nizoral in place of your regular shampoo, I use it once every three days (I only shampoo once every 3 days), any more than once EOD is too much IMO (for any shampoo)

I don't really see a need for it tbh. If you get male pattern baldness, I think it will be at least a year, maybe two years before any male pattern baldness starts.
It'll probably be much longer than that - 5, 10 years, if even ever.
male pattern baldness can skip generations, so even if everyone in your family (on both sides) was a slick NW7, it's entirely possible for it to skip one person in the family, leaving them NW1/NW2.

You should chill out a bit tbh. Some Valiums would probably do you more good than Finasteride :hairy:

i need to chiillllllll....

hmm.. what would make you think dutch or scandinavian ? ^,^
im actually part greek part portuguese. (mostly greek)

now as for the lines in the picture i have no idea... i didnt even notice that..
i think maybe my hair in that area grows in a sideways direction and its going in that direction so it looks like that maybe?? i really dont know tbh...

Anyways, thanks alot for the info man. I really appreciate it.
Guess im safe for now. hopefully like you said it could skip me and i will get to keep my hair :woot:

You have awesome hair, it looks really cool when it's long, you should grow it out again. But yeah, judging by those pictures your hair is exactly the same 6 months later, I don't think you have anything to worry about. In fact you have a lot better hair than most people, your hairline is great aside from that chunk on the right, not sure why that's there but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

You're solid, don't waste your worries on it anymore and go live your life.

i feel so much better now that my hair is still the same and thanks to that i have nothing to worry about so far.

Thanks A lot everyone!!
i appreciate all the help
