9 Months On finasteride But Dht Levels Out Of Range. Any Ideas?

I've been taking generic Finasteride since December 2016. My dosage has been 1mg per day until July and then I upped it to 1.25 per day for the last month or so.
Last week I had a blood DHT test and the results are as follows:
4.81 nmol/L
Range: 0.33 - 3.01 nmol/L

I should add I am on trt and take 100mg of testogel daily.

I feel my hair loss has stabilised but I haven't seen much improvement. I have taken photos before and after and my hair looks pretty much the same.
Unfortunately I did not think to get a baseline.

I am wondering if anyone could interpret these results. I expected the number to be far lower!

Dht is high because you are taking testogel. More testo = more dht. If you wasnt taking finasteride probably your dht was even more high.

And make sure your finasteride is legit

Thanks although the testogel just keeps me in the upper normal range so it shouldn't be any higher than the average person though, right?

I buy my finasteride online which isn't ideal. I'm going to get brand name proscar and try that.

Check your testosterone...

However few days ago i saw a post on bodybuilding forum where a guy was taking some testo + anavar and other roids with finasteride (he had prostate problems)... during the steroid cycle with finas he checked his dht level and this was under the minimum level of the range!
So maybe your fina is fake

My T taken the other week is at 30 so spot on (max of the range is 31 for this particular test)

I had thought about fake finasteride but I'm getting the Finast (Dr Reddy's) in the blister pack with the purple/pink logo. What are the chances of it being fake? Quite low I'd imagine.

I'm wondering if the test was off. But they take a lot of blood for the test so they can repeat it if any issues.

I got fake dr. Reddys dutasteride from the all day chemist. And their generic finasteride made me shed bad and gave me swollen eyes from one of the fillers. I'd stick with brand only!
