100% guaranteed he'd rather have the option to have hair than not to have any at all.

Sure, everyone would rather have hair given the option. Losing hair for Billy Zane has hardly affected his looks though

When he's clean shaven he looks fantastic, the horseshoe looks like ***.

Now if society in general shared your view, that is to say if it the world-viewed all shaven, bald heads attractive, then I suppose it's plausible to imagine us having an ultra- conservative and acceptable alternative to pills ,potions, and lotions. The issues with your opinion is that you are singling out one individual or type that happens to possess what majority society opines as positive manly facial features( prominent cheek bones ,strong jawline, good symmetry traits, etc.,) Also he has a famous face and he's rich, and I'll throw in vertically virtuous. "Zany" as I may sound, that in itself, automatically gives guys like him extra bonus points for approval. Billy's a talented actor, so who in the hell really knows? He might even hate the chrome dome look. I like your perspective, it is uniquely healthy. It's too bad that the world's is not. Bald doesn't look good for everybody, those with masculine features can generally pull it off better. People that have baby faces generally look bad.

Yes, generally people drop a couple of points when they go bald but some people imo actually look better. I have a good friend that started losing his hair and initially he would do everything to hide the loss, combovers, concealers etc.. it looked terrible. Once he shaved it off he looked 100 times better. His girlfriend is absolutely stunning and infatuated with him.

I'm just a little tired of the woe is me attitude towards balding on these forums. Maybe it's different in England, we've got loads of bald people over here and nobody gives a toss. I can categorically say that losing hair and shaving my head down to zero grade hasn't changed how people act towards me, my job prospects, or my general quality of life. Sure, I'd love my hair back but in the grand scheme of things it's not really a big deal.

I confess that I'm not immune to "self pity" because of my own hair loss. The distraction is exhausting on a daily basis. I have tried repeatedly for long periods to manage it, but so far all efforts have proven unsuccessful. Your attitude and resolve seem perfectly sound to me and I believe it is some how favorably working to your advantage. You are lucky that you possess this uncommon coping skill(s). I sincerely hope it endures.

Ah sh*t, not this again. The fact that people don't seem to concentrate on your baldness while talking to you, and instead look like not paying much attention to it does not mean they don't give a f*ck. The reactions will always be there, whether a person hides it well or not.

I've been victim myself several times of people pointing out my thin spots in front of everyone, and laughing while she/he does it. I've also witnessed women saying they won't date "x or y" guy (being physically attractive) because of being bald, noting it as a character flaw such as being fat. I even tried putting male pattern baldness as conversation topic once and got pretty nasty comments. Someone even pulled the typical "Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Patrick Stewart" card; Please be serious on this for once: Star Trek... Fast & Furious... Transporter... Riddick... Crank... the freaking X-Men... Those dudes play the most unrealistic exaggerate roles just to make up for their baldness, I'm sure you won't catch their faces on a regular chick flick.

Anyways, I agree it's better if we see ourselves as valuable people, but how impractical that is when society mocks our condition and test our self worth on daily basis. I am also tired of random motivational speakers such as yourself, popping in to strive on somebody else's sentiment on the matter. I strongly suggest all of you to step over the politically correct crap and practice a little bit of mindfulness before tossing these arguments again.

A little melodramatic but sure. I've had the odd "cue ball" joke and whatnot but I hardly feel persecuted, I have a great job, good friends/social life and no problems with girls. Baldness is what you make it.

I'm sorry your experience of balding has been so negative, maybe we live in different cultures but I certainly don't feel the same way

Or maybe you just look different? Hence the higher rate of acceptance from people. This different culture argument isn't valid since I don't know of any western culture that sees baldness as something positive.

just tell him put up or **** up. with no pics of himself he could say he looks like Brad Pit in fight club and is tapping supermodels.

Then again whats to stop him from just putting up a pic of brad pit from fight club and saying its him
