A compliment to Nizoral?

I just started using Nizoral 2% and now I have some questions:

1. Can I use a "Normal" shampoo (and then wash it out) before I apply Nizoral? Or will the other shampoo interfere with nizoral?
2. If I can use another shampoo before nizoral, what kind should I use? Silicone free?
3. Can I apply a conditioner right after I used Nizoral or will that reduce the effect of the Nizoral shampoo?
4. Is 5 minutes too long to leave Nizoral in the hair? Or maybe just about right?

Thanks in advance!

1. Yes. I believe that's even recommended.

2. Any normal shampoo will do, I imagine.

3. Yes, you can. Just let nizoral sit for a while.

4. 5 minutes sounds long enough, though I sometimes leave it on for 15 minutes.

Thanks for the replys!

How about you other Nizoral users, do you also shampoo your hair with another shampoo before applying the Nizoral?

I use other shampoos on alternate days with Nizoral 1%. Sometimes I use nizoral in the morning and another shampoo at night. I use nizoral 2-3 times a week, at the most.

I could probably stand to leave the nizoral on my hair longer though. I usually leave it on anywhere between 1 1/2 min's to 3.

This is part of my "Big 3" regimen (nizoral, Rogaine Foam, Fincar) suggested by other users which have shown some decent results considering how long I've been losing my hair.

I hope this helps.
