a couple shedding questions

I took minoxidil for about 4, 5 months. About 4 months in, a shed started. Is it normal to start this late? Also, I applied minoxidil on the temples and hairline, yet the shed occured all over. I've lost alot of density, even in "protected" areas like the back of the scalp.
Can such a shed occur on minoxidil, or do minoxidil sheds happens only where the product is applied?

Same thing is happening to me and im only 6 weeks in I wonder if its an allergic reaction? my hairs thined out over the entire top area yet im only aplying to the front!
