A Question To Diffuse Thinners

Hi thinheads: I was wondering, do tend to be more stressed out? More prone to anxiety perhaps?

I'm starting to believe that cortisol may play far more of a role in hairloss than imagined, especially after looking at some charts with adrenals, CRH and ACTH in connection to 5ar and inflammatory cytokines.

Yes. I am an anxious person and I just finished a very stressful education.

Textbook diffuse thinner in NW6 pattern. Been very stressed out.

Though it's hard to tell if it's genetic or not. My dad is a diffuse thinner and he's definitely not stressed out. My cousins are all diffuse thinners.

I am diffuse thinning and had my cortisol levels checked, and they were in normal range. I am not stressed out at all either.

I developed social anxiety and started a highly stressful college course ; architecture, during this period I noticed very high shedding. Definitely around 100 hairs per day or more, I was sure I had male pattern baldness diffuse thinning but it turned out I didnt. I definitely believe stress and anxiety had a large part to play

Both diffuse and receding. Morning cortisol from plasma was 567 (171-536). Make of that what you will.

I tend to be introverted and anxious but that depends a lot on the company I'm with.

Hair loss definitely heightens anxiety, and make you more prone to being anxious.

I'm a diffuse thinner and I'm very stressed out since a couple of years (work related stuff) and don't sleep well. Since then my hair loss and thinning accelerated 10x. I took a blood test for cortisol a week ago and get the results next week.
